Chapter 28
Fighting with vampires
The vampires rushed in without delay. The huge winged monster at the front was leading the group with large leaps, supported by the occasional strokes of the wide wings. It took it just a few seconds to cross the entire room and reach the place where Jimin, Namjun and Ho-seok were standing. Its speed was extreme.
The men scattered in every direction. The beast couldn't stop its acceleration and crashed hard against the wall. The room shook from the impact and several book fell from the bookshelf. The bottles in the alcohol cabinet jingled cheerfully.
"There are more weapons in the bag!" Namjun yelled at Jimin and at the same time shot several bullets in the body of the monster. It angrily turned its head towards him and growled annoyed. Namjun stepped back with fear when his eyes met the bloodied fierce eyes of the vampire. Fuck, it is looking at me! He rose the gun again and shot several more bullets in the wide torso of the monster. It turned towards him completely.
At the same time Jimin rushed towards the long sack, now lying useless on the ground. He tripped over the small table and fell awkwardly near the weapons, his torso painfully hitting the floor. He hissed wit discomfort. Damn, this day seemed like an endless line of shit!
Ho-seok rushed in the same direction only to be cut of by the male vampire, jumping in front of him with a huge leap and pushing him with enormous strength across the room. His wolf-like jaw seeping incoherent growling sounds. The bloodied eyes never leaving its prey.
"Quickly, there is no time to waste!" Namjun yelled again and darted towards the staircase, the winged beast following him closely. Namjun shot several bullets back, not even looking at where he was shooting. It seemed like the monster didn't register the wounds.
Jimin crawled closer to the bag with weapons and frantically unzipped it. Yes! There were two rifles and a pistol, Exactly what they needed. He pulled out the gun. It felt good in his hand.
"There you are!" The female vampire screamed, a thin, deafening sound, painful for the ears. She ran towards Jimin. "You told me you can cure me, why did you lie like that? Well, it doesn't matter anymore..." She advanced towards him, her skinny hands, ending with long, sharp curved claws were stretched out hungrily.
"You are going to pay for this!" She hissed angrily. She was now so close that she could smell the intoxicating odor of the fresh human body before her. She had to taste that juicy man, she had to have his flesh and blood. He was a liar but an appetizing liar nevertheless.
The woman jumped at the last moment, her pray almost there in her grasp, exactly where she wanted him.
Jimin, still sitting on the ground, bent over the sack of weapons, saw the female vampire leap towards him, almost flying in his direction, glassy eyes and gaping mouth. Her unnaturally long tongue was swinging glistening over her bottom lip.
Jimin gasped with surprise, grabbed the whole sack of weapons and rolled over a few meters with an agile maneuver.
The vampire crashed over the small table, turning it into wreckage.
"There goes my bottle..." Jimin noted with annoyance.
"Help!" Ho-seok cried from the other end of the room. The male vampire had him cornered near the wall. His only way to save himself was to run towards the kitchen. But without a proper weapon seemed just as pointless and suicidal as staying here.
"Hey, you, catch!" Jimin yelled. Ho-seok looked up and registered one rifle flying across the room towards him. That was his only chance.
Ho-seok pressed his back against the wall for support and kicked with both feet into the chest of the beast. The force of the blow made it loose its balance for a while, just enough to allow Ho-seok to make the one step to the side he needed and catch the gun.
