I jolted awake and noticed I was in the schools infirmary, I looked around and was shocked to see my dad next to me. His expression looked like he wanted to punch the closest thing around him. Which unfortunately, was me. Before I could do anything, he grabbed my hair and pulled me to the ground. He began kicking me in my abdomen, my face, and anywhere else he could. Before anyone walked in, he stopped and punched me in the face one last time. I heard a crack which meant he  either broke my nose or seriously damaged it. He walked towards the door than make at me, he sneered and walked out of the school, leaving me to clean myself up...for the second time today.

After cleaning everything up in the infirmary, I headed to class with a late slip from the front desk, along with a weird look from the secretary. On the way to class, I grabbed my make up kit from my locker which I keep there for emergencies. I quickly cover up my bruises without a mirror handy and headed to first hour, AP calculus. I knocked on the door and walked inside once I heard the teacher, I quickly gave the teacher my slip and sat down in the back corner near the window. I hated being the center of attention, so when everyone's eyes were on me, I was confused and uncomfortable. Then I realized..my nose. I quickly stood up and ran out of the classroom with the teacher yelling after me as I head to the nearest bathroom. I looked in the mirror and say my nose is bent at a weird angle, definitely broken. I tried to snap it back into place before returning to class. My teacher asked if I was okay, I shrugged and walked to my seat, hoping to avoid any  attention from my classmates.

After the bell rang, I walked to my locker and grabbed my books for next class. While I was doing so, someone tapped my shoulder, I thought it was my friend, Jenny, but when I turned I got a harsh smack to the face. I fell to the floor, and my books and papers were splayed everywhere. I sighed and looked up as people around start whispering and chuckling. Before I even looked all the way up, I saw the pink stilettos that could only belong to one person, Jessica.

" Hey there, bitch!" She said. I sighed again as I looked back down and went to clean up my books and papers, " Hello! I'm talking to you!"

I ignored her and I continued to pick up my stuff off the floor, when I was picking up the last piece of paper Jessica kicked my stomach with her stiletto. I grunted, but only because I was still sore from this morning, but even so, I didn't fall down.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!" She practically screeched. Before I could respond she leans down and whispers in my ear, "If you don't, I'll tell everyone about-"

"No!" I yelled, as I stopped picking up my stuff, I looked up and noticed the entire hallway was watching, "Don't, please."

"Then stay away from him, he's mine!" With that last pterodactyl screech, she walked away with the rest of her minions trailing behind her. As I grabbed the rest of my books and papers, I heard my phone buzz and I saw two texts that I hate seeing.

Message: Jenny- Sry wont be coming 2 skool...sick :(

Message: Father- I saw you talking with someone this morning, prepare to have "fun" tonight.

I sighed and put my phone in my pocket as I walked into my second hour. AP English. I love this class, the teacher is super chill and laid back. Plus, I like to read and write, the only downside of this class is that Alex is in this class. I walked to my seat and laid my head down, hoping to take a nap. Unfortunately, my hopes were crushed as I heard the teacher open the door and explained the assignment for today and how it was going to be interactive and educational. I was too tired to pay attention to what the teacher was saying. I finally sat up, I noticed there were two police officers. Have they been there the entire time?

"...So we need two volunteers," One of them said. Wait, what was happening? I didn't hear what the teacher said when they were explaining.

"Yes, but before anyone does anything, your teacher here, has made name slips so we will draw two slips," The other said.

The teacher gave the officers a hat with the slips of paper. They shook the hat and drew the first name.

"Alex Pierce," The first one said, all the girls started paying attention, wanting to be paired with him. Alex stood up and sauntered to the front, standing by the officers. I prayed to not be called as they chose the second name.

"Jennifer Smith," The first one said, after drawing the second slip. I let out a sigh of relief, glad I wasn't picked.

"She's absent today," The teacher said. The officers nodded and chose another slip, I held my breath.

"Jordan Reece," They called, as I mentally groaned.
