"Blake?" I questioned as he walked through the door, "Wait! The doctor said that you said your name was Felix or something, how did he get Felix and Blake mixed up?"
Blake scratched the back of his neck nervously, "Well, I didn't think you would remember me, so I said my name was Alex. Knowing that you would know him, speaking of Alex, why isn't he visiting you?"
I scoffed, "Knowing how he is, he's probably sucking Jessica's face or some other girl."
Blake looked confused, but relieved, "Wait, I thought you two were dating."
I burst out laughing at the thought. Me and Alex, dating? Psh, hell no. I would never even consider it a possibility after everything with the handcuffs and such. "Yeah, I would never date Alex. Especially with the handcuff thing."
Blake chuckled and pulled up one of the plastic chairs next to my hospital bed, then he saw my wrapped stub of what used to be my hand. He looked at it questioningly, "What happened? Wasn't that the hand that was handcuffed to Alex's?"
I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, I couldn't stand being anywhere near him anymore so I kinda acted without thinking and ended up doing something stupid."
I chuckled and lifted my stun while scratching the back of my neck sheepishly. Blake chuckles but it quickly fades and his eyes filled with worry, "So, what are you gonna do about the bill?"
I lowered both of my hands into my lap and stared at them, fiddling with the wrap around my stub. I sighed, "I don't know what I'm gonna do, I don't have any money to pay the bill, I can't go back to my house because my dad will kill me...literally."
Blake looks at me understandingly, "Let me guess...dead mom, abusive dad, no social life?"
"Yeah, how'd you know?" I asked, wondering how he knew...was he like me?
"I had a similar past, but both of my parents and most of my siblings abused me. Luckily, I eventually got away from them, and now, I'm going to help you do the same. I'm offering you a way to escape from your house, father, and the bills from the hospital that you need to pay. You see after I left my family, I started a business of my own to get enough money to provide for myself. Later, I became on the edge of being rich. My business had excelled and I hadn't heard from my family in a while, so just to see how they were doing, I called them. When they answered, they must not have heard of my success because as soon as they heard me they started yelling at me. Saying that I must need their help or their money because I can't do anything for myself, but after they stopped talking I told them that I was now a business successor and was seeing if they were in any sort of financial struggle. But of course, them being them said that they don't need me for I am only a failure waiting to happen," He stopped and looked down at his hands, I put my hand on his shoulder for support. He looks up at me, his eyes seemed so dull and broken. Next thing I know, my body pulls Blake towards me and...

I feel myself starting to tear up as I see this broken person that I can understand more than an ordinary person could. We sat there for what seemed like days but was probably only about ten minutes, then the doctor came in and said that there was another person in the waiting room for me.
