Jordan's POV
As soon as the doctor said that there were people with guns in the building, I began panicking. Alex must've noticed because he began holding me tighter, but not too tight. I couldn't think, I was having flashbacks. I could feel my face pale and my breathing turning into panting, my vision was getting blurry. I could hear Alex and the doctor talking frantically, "We need all the patients to evacuate using the fire exits. Please follow me to the neares-," Alex cut the doctor off.
"No! She needs help! She's having a panic attack right now! Please, give us a few minutes to calm her down then we will join the rest at the bottom," Alex tried to compromise. The doctor hesitantly nodded and left, probably to warn the other patients and workers.
As soon as the doctor left Alex turned me around so I would be facing him and cupped my face in his hands, looking into my eyes, "Jordan, Jordan, I need you to calm down. I need you to calm down so we can escape, okay? Just calm down."
I knew he was trying to help, but I couldn't focus on him. I was focusing on the fact that terrorists were in the building and that she could have the same fate as her. I had to get away from here, for I knew these could be the same group that did it.
I quickly stood up and ran out of the room, not knowing where I was going. I ran to an abandoned part of the hospital and hid behind one of the fallen curtains, and cried. I don't know how long I stayed there, but it was long enough for the terrorist group to walk past where I was hiding. I couldn't move, I could barely breathe, so I decided to just listen in on their conversation.
"I can't believe the boss decided to actually visit someone while they were here. Like, why bother when we're just gonna blow it up," One chuckled. I could tell that it was a middle-aged man, but I couldn't see any of them. Didn't want to risk them seeing me.
"I heard that he's like obsessed with her, but some guy is trying to take her away. I mean if the boss likes her, she must be something or have something worthwhile. Maybe if we ever meet her and they don't work out I could have a go at her," Another joked, also middle-aged male. I felt bad for whoever the girl they were talking about, but all else aside I'm curious about who their boss is. And why would they be at the hospital they planned to blow up? To visit a girl that they like? Why not take the girl with them? Clearly, they don't like this girl very much.
"You probably won't get the chance, she gonna go up with the rest of the building," A female voice scoffed. She sounds like she's in her twenties.
Suddenly I got a whole nose full of dust, tickling my nose. Giving me the urge to sneeze, unfortunately, I had no time to try and prevent it. So I sneezed...very loudly.
"ACHOO!" I sneezed. Everyone in the room froze and I could hear them pull out their guns while slowly approaching my hiding spot.
"Who's in here?" The woman asked. I could see her silhouette as she got closer towards me. I decided that I was going to die anyways and came out from my hiding spot.
"Umm, hello," I said as I stepped out from behind the curtain. All three of them were wearing black masks and aiming their guns towards me.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" The first man asked, his voice cold and threatening.
"Umm, I'm Jordan and I was a patient here because I cut my hand off, which is a long story," I show them my stub as I nervously scratch the back of my neck.
The second man lowered his gun and asked, "Why would you cut your hand off?"
"I was attached to someone with handcuffs and I couldn't stand being around them for so long."
