"Where you from boy?" Brigitte asked looking in the mirror.

"That hotel." I pointed at the hotel in front of the parking lot. She stomped on the brake and looked directly at it. She reached into her left pocket to grab a red box of marble cigarettes. As she opens it she reaches in her right pocket and grabs a lighter that had a Harley Davidson design on it. She gripped the cigarette and held it close to the black lighter and set off the cigarette with a blaze of a red and yellow flame that burns the ash in the cigarette.

She puts the end of the white and yellow cigarette on her pale chapped lips and inhales it in her dry mouth. She puffs out the smoke with her lips pushed out. The grey smoke slithered out the open window and fated into the polluted air.

"You got anyone else with you?" Chelsea said shifting her body towards me and looking at me with her crystal ocean blue eyes.

"Yeah, her name is June."

"Ooooo. It's a she!" She bit her lip wanting to know more about her. "Is she pretty? Are you two dating? What does she look like? She sounds nice! Is she nice?" She asked too many questions for me to ask them all.

"Well, you can meet her to find out, but for now you need to tell me more about you two." I crossed my arms, leaning back in the leather seat listening to what she has to jabber about.

"Well, I'm seventeen, my mom is thirty-four..." She pauses and rolls her eyes trying to think on what to say and how to say it. "I guess that's it!" She said with a cheerful squeak in her voice.

I wasn't to sure about her yet. She seemed too chatty and way too happy to be in the zombie apocalypse. She is just like a girl at school that I used to know. She was always happy even if she had an F on her test or too much homework to make up for all the days she missed. Her name was Tammy. She would never stop bragging about how rich her parents were. Maybe thats why she never had friends.

"You mind if we stay with you for a while?" Brigitte asked throwing her cigarette on the ground, then rolling up her window.

"I don't mind, but June is hurt-"

"HURT?!" Chelsea cut me off having a big gasp in her voice. She held her hands over her mouth and almost cried like she already knew her.

"Yeah." I got really annoyed now.

"Well we better go now. Shouldn't we?" Brigitte said with wide eyes and a mocking voice. She laughed like a pure redneck about to get ready to kill something.

"How can they be mother and daughter?" I thought "She's a redneck and she's a city girl. Ok. Ok. Be nice..." I thought squinting my eyes starting to get annoyed.

Brigitte stomps on the gas pedal making the tires screech and leaving black tire marks, smoke, and a loud noise behind. The car ran to the parking lot of the hotel at full speed.

She slid the car sideways not bothering to park it the mustang. She literally just parked it in the middle of the parking lot! Anyway, she turned of the car waiting for someone to get out first.

"Wait! I need to make sure she is ok." I slither out the walkie talkie that was on my pants loop. I press the button to speak to her. "Hey you there?"

"Yeah I'm here. Are you here yet? Did you get the bandage? Are you ok?"

I chuckle a little, loving the way she is concerned for me. "Yes, yes, and I'm fine."

"You sound so pretty!" Chelsea squealed with joy.

"Who is that?" June wondered. I could tell she was worried.

"I'm Chelsea and this is my mom Brigitte." Chelsea introduced her and her mom. Brigitte reached for a beer can and sipped the liquor right out of the rusty can. "Say hi mom!" Chelsea got disgusted by her mothers behavior and flung the beer can right out of her hands. Beer splashed on the window and on Brigitte's clothes.

"Hi." Brigitte sighed and let out an immense burp. It smelled like crispy burnt beer with a side of grotesque fries.

"MOTHER! MANNERS!"

Brigitte rolled her eyes and opened the yellow car door. She put another cigarette in her mouth and lite the cigarette ash.

As we got out of the car I could see a zombie limping towards us. The zombie spun its neck around, popping every inch of its dead muscle. Chunks of rotten blood fell from its lifeless lips.

"Move to the door quietly." I said in a hushed tone. I stepped back slowly not noticing chelsea was behind me. I could hear Chelsea gasp behind my neck. Brigitte dropped her cigarette on the ground and sighed.
