14. He Saves Your Life (Smash)
THE DONT STOP MUSIC VIDEO WAS FUCKING AMAZING OMG D6TF7VYIBOUPWV!!!1!!1!1 it inspired me to write this series so yeah, it's probably gonna be really cheesy lol enjoy my loves!
It was a chilly evening and you were at home, all snuggled up in a blanket by the heater to warm yourself in battle against the cold temperature. In the ad break of the TV show you were watching, you decided to make yourself a hot drink so you got up and walked to the kitchen.
Just after you finished pouring boiling water into the mug , you could smell something burning and you instantly knew what was happening. You almost dropped the kettle in terror as you raced over to the lounge. Nothing could prepare you for what you saw.
Burning flames had erupted around the heater, long tendrils of smoke curled up to the roof. The wave of heat that washed over you was almost unbearable. It was like a scene from a horror movie. You didn't want to leave your phone or laptop in the house so you leapt over the flames and into the hallway. After successfully rescuing your babies from your room, you ran back into the lounge to attempt to head out the door.
The raging inferno was beginning to close in on all sides, you were trapped.
You screamed the loudest you have ever screamed in your life, hoping that someone would hear. No one came. The roaring of the flames made you feel sick and you thought you were going to die right there and then.
The smoke began to enter your system, burning your lungs and airways. There was no oxygen left, your lungs grasped for air as you frantically inhaled as much as you could.
It was like suffocating underwater and suddenly breathing in as much as you can...it only makes the situation worse. You lay on the floor, slowly feeling the heated air chew away at your skin. You wanted to fall unconcious so you wouldn't have to feel the flames taking over your body. How would your family react when they found out you died in a house fire?
Your eyes slowly began to close and you fell unconcious just as a flash of blue and a flurry of white entered your peripheral vision.

You woke up to the sensation of someones mouth on yours before large hands pumped your chest. You fluttered your eyes open and took a breath, something you never thought would happen again.
A relieved looking face stared down at you. "What a fighter." He breathed, astonished.
You blushed, ashamed because you didn't think you were a fighter, you were too horrified to take action against death and just accepted it.
He lifted you up off the ground and pulled you into a hug, his strong arms wrapped around you tightly. "You won't have to wait too long. The ambulance will be here shortly." He smiled, letting you go. You ached for his warmth, wanting his arms to hold you securely one last time but you wouldn't ask, you didn't even know him.
"Who are you?" You asked weakly as if they were the first words you had spoken in a thousand years.
"I'm Smash."
You managed a weak laugh. "That can't be your name!"
He shrugged and adjusted the red bandana that helped stop his curly light brown hair from falling into his face. His costume was strange, it was blue with red undies and kneepads, a blue 'A' was printed in a red circle on his chest which puzzled you.
"If your name is Smash... then how come you have the letter 'A' on your costume?"
He smiled and in the dim twilight you could make out the adorable dimples that etched themselves into his cheeks. "Well if you must know...my real name is Ashton. Smash is kind of like my alter ego."
"Ahhhh I see." You nodded, before both of you drifted into awkward silence. You couldn't see any flames so the firetruck must've come and gone. The sky was getting darker and the smell of smoke still drifted on the breeze, making you feel sick. You couldn't help but feel self-concious around Smash, he was really attractive and the only thing on your mind was the feel of his mouth pumping oxygen into your body.
"Looks like your ride is here." Smash said as the sound of ambulance sirens steadily got louder.
"Smash, I can't thank you enough for saving my life back there. I owe you one."
"You don't owe me anything love. Just doing my job. Although..."
"Although what?" The ambulance pulled over and rushing staff came out the back with a stretcher.
"It would be nice to go out for a drink or something later."
You frowned, unsure how to comprehend this, but before you could reply, you had been shoved on to the stretcher and carted into the ambulance. Smash was nowhere to be seen.
