Urahara stared at me in disbelief, "Are you actually considering going back?"
"He's coming back in three days to see if I'll come back with him," I replied.
"That's not what I asked," he sighed.
"If I asked, do you think he'll let Orihime go?" I offered.
"I don't know what Aizen did to you, but he's not going to let her go. If he captured her, he has a use for her," he pointed out.
I rested my head in my hands. Why did I have to fall in love with Aizen? "Why me?"
I heard a ringing from the front of the store. A familiar voice called out, "Hey, Urahara where are you?" It was Rukia.
He walked out getting ready to greet her. "Hey Rukia," he greeted her cheerfully, "What brings you here today?"
"Is Ichigo awake?" she asked.
I got up, walking into her view.
She walked up to me, putting her special glove on, she pushed me out of my body. "Follow me," she turned around and headed out the store.
"Hey wait," I yelled.
She stopped for a moment, "Are you coming or not?"
I clicked my tongue, running after her. After running for a while, we stopped at a park.
There was a hollow attacking a soul. As I was about to draw my sword I flinched. I thought about Starrk and the other Arrancars.
"What's wrong?" she asked, "you should have no hesitation. The Ichigo I know would have no trouble drawing his sword in the face of an enemy."
I drew my sword, preparing to strike the hollow. As I attacked, I cut it too shallow. It cried out in pain, making me freeze. I had to remind myself that this was different. I forced myself to move, and finished it off. I could still hear its scream after it disappeared.
Its scream resounded in my head. Dropping my sword, I covered my ears, "Stop."
Rukia grabbed my arms, pulling them away from my ears. She was shouting at me, but her voice was drowned out.
Suddenly, it stopped. I couldn't hear anything, there was nothing but the deafening silence.
Rukia had let go of my arms, but it looked like she was saying something.
I could hear a faint whisper coming from behind me. I turned around and followed it, picking up my sword. I followed the whispers until they got louder.
I came across a large pillar located on the edge of town. The whispers kept repeating, "Destroy the pillar..."
I charged up Getsuga Tensho, ready to strike the pillar. I was stopped as someone tried to pull my sword out of my hands. I turned around to see Urahara was the one who stopped me.
"I would appreciate it if you didn't destroy that," he said.
The whispers had stopped and I could hear again. "What is it?" I turned towards it.
"It's part of our plan to stop Aizen. We need to protect Karakura town, but we can't very well do that if we're fighting right above it." He walked over to the pillar, placing a hand on it. "I worked long and hard on it, so I have to ask you to refrain from destroying it."
I scratched my head, "Sorry, I don't know what happened. One moment I'm fighting, then I can't hear anything, the next thing I know I hear whispers telling me to destroy this thing."
"So you just listened to it?" Rukia said from behind me.
"It seemed like a good idea at the time. I figured that if I did what it asked of me that I could hear again," I admitted.
"Ichigo," she said warily, "You were on the ground screaming for a while as you were shaking. When you finally stopped you ran away."
"What?" I stared at her. I could feel everything start to spin, "I don't feel very well." I staggered, Rukia caught me. I gagged as I felt something rush up my throat.
"Oh no," Rukia protested, "not on me."
