"Mia, why's the door closed?" I hear Michael ask.
I sigh, relieved that it's him and not Mom or Dad. Or worse, Megan or Charlie. But then I stare at the elephant in the bedroom. Aiden.
Wait, no it's... Carson? What is Carson doing here? I push him towards the window. "You have to go."
"I'm not going anywhere," he growls a little too loudly.
"Well then..." I look around. My eyes fly to the closet. "Hide. Do something. He can't see you."
"But he can see the naked guy in the corner?" he asks.
My eyes snap behind me. Sure enough, Onai is butt naked in my bedroom. Again.
"Michael already knows he's here," I say. I realize my mistake after I've said it.
Carson's eyes nearly fly out of his head. "Your family knows he's here?" He looks at Onai. "Like that? What do they think you're doing in here with him?" his voice raises.
"Well, it's not me he's here for..." I trail off.
Sure enough, Michael knocks on the door again. "I'm coming in, and swear to bob if you're on my sister Onai..." Michael throws the door open, but Onai gets in the way.
He doesn't let Michael see past him, using his naked body as buffer. "Come on, let's go back to your room." His voice lowers exponentially in a smooth, sexy way. "Help me get this pepper spray out of my eyes."
I nearly gasp.
"Where's Mia?" Michael asks. He tries to poke his head around Onai.
"She's right there, now do you want your mom and dad to see me naked or not?"
I try to urge Carson into hiding, but he doesn't move. He stands squarely in the middle of the room, demanding to be seen. When Michael shoves past Onai, that's exactly what happens.
Michael's eyes fly between me and Carson. Carson and me. Me and Onai. And then finally the gaping window. "What in the world is going on?"
Nobody answers.
"Well I'm going to the bathroom." Onai bolts without a second thought. "Start screaming if the Bloodmoon Pack comes, Mia."
Michael glares daggers at Carson who's standing in front of me with his arms crossed.
"Judging by the color of what you're wearing," Michael says. "I'd say you're Axel."
"Fuck you," Carson grumbles. He's currently in his black uniform and not his red jacket. I didn't even notice.
"Oh, I guess that was wrong," Michael says with a smug look. "Mia says she's dating Aiden, so I guess she wasn't lying. You're Aiden then, right?" he raises an eyebrow.
Carson glares at him. "You can quit your mind games. I know Mia didn't say she's dating any of us. Right, Mia?"
It's like a dagger to the heart, but my mouth starts moving of its own volition. "I am dating only one of you."
"Me?" Carson asks, pointing to himself.
I shake my head. "No, Aiden."
"No." He clutches his heart.
"Yes," I scream, my twists flowing wildly behind me. Suddenly a wind gust fills the room. "We kissed yesterday!"
Carson's eyes snap towards my lips. "On the way home?"
"No!" I stare into his eyes. "At the altar!"
All of a sudden I feel the fabric of a wedding dress encase me. Aiden sweeps me off of my feet and launches us out the window. Axel's mortified face is the last thing I see.
