In 1904, Hollingwood University was established in the heart of England. Many prestigious classes took place within the campus, servicing the needs of all students. Professors were strict with their rules, there were not to be an shenanigans taking place on campus. That was why one student, Odis Rÿot, started the first underground club of Hollingwood University.
This club consisted of five members, all who were studious, sophisticated, wealthy young gentlemen. However, they certainly didn't act like sophisticated gentlemen. They spent their nights having lavish parties, eating meals at some of the most exquisite restaurants in the countryside, and being thrown out of nearly every bar they attended. One of Odis Rÿot's favorite activities was hiring an array of working girls, and letting his club members have their pick of the girl they wanted.
The members of this club were very pleased with themselves, going to the newest most prestigious university in the country, and running their own underground fun-time. But something changed. One of the members, James, fell in love with a young scholarly woman on the campus. Her name was Lillian Doyle. James was Odis' brother, he became disinterested in participating in Rÿot's activities, he was falling in love with Lillian.
Odis became enraged; he had a certain order of the way his club should work, and long-term relationships weren't at all what he had in mind. He pleaded James to leave Lillian, and he begged Lillian to stay away from James. He offered her money, jewels, clothes, the world even. But she wouldn't have it, she wanted nothing but James and only himself. James was the same when it came to Lillian. Soon, it came to the point where Odis threatened Lillian. He was a powerful man, he had many ties to many dangerous people.
Soon, James confronted Odis on his badgering of Lillian, and he told him that he didn't stop bothering Lillian, he was going to leave the club and out it to the head master. Odis wasn't about to lose his establishment over a girl, so he promised James that he would leave Lillian alone.
However, that didn't mean someone else wouldn't get to Lillian.
Months went by, and James and Lillian were to be married. But the morning of the wedding, Lillian's house maids were terrified to discover their mistress' dead body lying in her bed, a pool of blood oozing from her head.
A fog of gloom waved over the entire campus, and her death sent James into a deep depression. He left his brother's club, and the university, disappearing into the country side and was never seen again.
The police investigated the case with much vigor, and came upon a solid clue. In Lillian's bedroom was a hand print that was dusted with charcoal, and compared to other prints taken from the past. They found a match; his name was Marshall Freeman.
Marshall caved to murdering Lillian, and handed the police a hit-order he was given by a client. The client's identity was Odis Rÿot. The police rushed to his dormitory at Hollingwood University, only to find a young prostitute fleeing from his room. She was crying, claiming that she did nothing to him. When the police entered, they found Rÿot dead, a bottle of whiskey lying next to him.
Rÿot's death was ruled as an overdose from alcohol use, and he was never pinned to the murder of Lillian Doyle. James was never seen again, and the remaining three members of the club were at a loss of what to do. They decided to continue the club in honor of their fallen members. They decided to give their club a name; The Rÿot Club. It grew into a bigger organization, and was eventually brought out from under the dust. It emerged into the modernized Riot Club.
Nine months after Odis' death, the young prostitute gave birth to a baby boy. He was Odis' son, and his name was Eric Odis Burton.
