Having dinner with a bunch of snobby rich kids? Check that off the list of things I never ever planned on doing. I was still really pissed off after last night, and what erked me the most was that they all seemed so nice. Well, that just goes to show me, never judge books by covers. What I can't understand is how Erica, a sweet, kind, and bubbly young girl, could fall in love with such a narcissistic pig like Harry Burton? She made him sound so wonderful, but he turned out to be a real jackass. They were all jackasses, and I didn't need to be one of them, they're pathetic.
"...and then they just started laughing at me because I work here! It was so embarrassing and I ran out. And what was weirder was the biggest jackass in the group came to comfort me," I finished my long story from the night before, and Sami was taking it all in, absolutely shocked at the events that occurred.
"My god sweetheart, I'm so sorry about that. I really do hate people like that, they don't appreciate the working man...or in our case, woman," she replied.
"Well it's cool because I'm never going to see them again. They come my way I avoid them," I said.
"Yeah, forget about the Riot Club, you don't need to be part of that crowd," Sami agreed. And as if fate wants to punish me, the five finky idiots walked into the diner.
"Oh my god!" I ducked down behind the counter. Sami turned to look at them.
"I guess I don't have to ask what's wrong," she said.
"I understood their feel on waitresses on Saturday night, I don't need their snide remarks here." I hissed.
"Alright well relax, I'll take their table. Take table six," she said and took a pad of paper.
"Thank you! I owe you one!" I whispered back.
Sami's POV
Poor Lucy, was all I could think.
"Hi, welcome to the Hollingwood Diner, my name is Sami and I'll be your waitress today." I said politely. The five boys looked up at me, damn they were handsome. Too bad their attitudes were on the down low.
"Afternoon Ms, we'll start with a bottle of voss water." the tall one said. What?
"What?" I asked.
"Water, from Norway?" another one said.
"We only have water from the tap. We're not your friendly five-star establishment." I replied.
"In that case we'll have a round of beer, you do have beer don't you?" a boy with honey blonde hair asked. I gave him a flat look.
"Yes my liege." I replied and walked off. Now I get why they pissed off Lucy, these boys are wretched!
Lucy's POV
Sami came back looking very pissed off.
"I guess I don't have to ask what's wrong." I mocked her from earlier.
"Those boys are so rude! How are they accepted in society?" she asked.
"They have money, and people use money to make their world go round." I replied.
"Too bad they're so cute." she said. I nearly choked on my own spit when she said that.
"What? Are you serious?" I asked.
"Well I mean look at them! They look like friggin' Armani models!" she exclaimed quietly.
"Okay, I don't know how it works here, but in Michigan if a cute boy is a jackass, he's not worth it." I said.
"Right. Now excuse me while I get five cans of beer." she replied and went into the kitchen. I huffed, pushing away thoughts about the Riot Club and started wiping down the bar counter. Then, surprise or all surprises, Ethan came my way. I don't know if he saw me, but I ducked down behind the bar, hoping he would pass by to the bathroom.
