He brought me into the city. There were cars flying by, people dotting the streets here and there. Lights were illuminating the night sky, and they shone beautifully against the Thames river. I wasn't sure why Ethan decided to bring me here though. I mean, it's not like he was saying anything. No really, he wasn't saying anything at all.
"So Patterson, you want to tell me why you brought me here?" I asked him.
"I felt as though you and I haven't had a chance to get to know each other, given all the drama from the past week," he replied.
"I never said I wanted to get to know you. I never even said I liked you in general," I replied. Ethan snickered and leaned against the railing.
"You know you're kind of cute when you're sassy." he said. That made me scoff.
"Wow, is that the best you got?" I asked him.
"You think you can do better?"
"I know Allen Park nerds with the full blown braces and the thick rim glasses who could come up with better pick-up lines," I said. A smirk lay across his lips.
"Oh really? Lay one on me," he suggested. I chewed my lip in thought.
"I was feeling a little off today...but you turned me on." I said. I remember Ryan taking me to a party, I had to pretend I was eighteen. He was talking to some blonde girl and he tried out that line on her. I took a video with my cell; but because life seems to not like me very much, one day my phone was knocked out of my hand and landed right into my milkshake. It shorted out the minute it hit the frothy delight.
Ethan giggled at me like a school kid watching Spongebob.
"Really? That's what you got?" he asked.
"Alright well, let me see you think of something better," I sassed out. He sighed and thought, then got that signature smirk on his face and stepped closer towards me.
"Your beauty, makes the morning sun look like a dull glimmer of the moon," he said, coming closer and closer until he had me pressed against the railing. He blew his breath across my face, he smelt like cinnamon and pine nettles. His eyes were a rich oak brown color, his hair was touseled perfectly. It was like he was some kind of store made Barbie Ken product...and that's usually a bad thing for me.
"You're getting a little close there," I whispered.
"I don't think you mind though," he whispered back.
"I think," I grabbed his left arm, ducked around him and twisted his arm behind his back, pushing him against the railing.
"Woah, woah! Okay!" he exclaimed, probably thinking I was going to push him over and into the water.
"I think you should think twice before you drag me out here into the cold and try to seduce me," I said and let him go.
"What the...? How did you know I would-?"
"Oh come on, the gentlemen like gestures. The playful flirty pick-lines. Backing me into the railing and giving me that so called 'dreamy' look that makes all the girls want to fall to your feet. I'm not stupid," I said. Ethan's smirk returned and he chuckled.
"Oh good, you are smart. I like that," he said.
"There you go again, but let me tell you right now I am a lot more than smart. And if you ever pull something like that again, I will sneak into your room and dismantle your balls," I said.
"Well, the first part sounds nice," he replied.
"I can make it look like an accident honey, don't push me," I said. Ethan just chuckled in this annoying fashion.
"Sure doll, but let me assure you that this is a game. And I never lose," he said.
"What kind of game?" I asked him. He shrugged.
"Just saying...after a while you'll fall in love with me. All the ladies do, no matter how hard they fight it," he replied.
"Well I assure you that I will never be one of those ladies," I said, then turned around and started back towards the dorm.
"Hey!" he called. I huffed, turning around and facing him.
"Yes your royal jackass?" I said.
"See you tomorrow?" he asked me. Oh wow.
"Sure,"
