Shardha Solanki, a lady in her late forty's. She preferred to start her day by offering prayer to the gods. So, she woke up and did her daily routine. She tied up her wet hair in a loose bun and moved towards her prayer room. She took the tip of her saree and tucked it in front of her stomach. She always believed it to be dangerous to let that part of the saree loose while lighting something, a there are high chances for it to catch fire. Then, very confidently she bent down and the lamp. She stood up and prayed to god for the wellness of her family. She then held up the plate and walked all around the house, the scent of camphor was captured by the air and the warmth of the flame was also spread around the house.

"Gudiya! Cheeku!", she shouted , looking at the rooms upstairs. She walked up the stairs with the plate on her right hand and holding onto the front portion of the saree with her left hand , making way for her legs to move up swiftly.

Hearing no response from upstairs, "Where are they? And what are they doing?", she muttered to herself.

You all must be wondering who she is searching for, isn't it? Well, she wasn't alone in that averagely huge house! This was Shardha's elder brother's house. She had lost her husband years back. And she was pushed out of her own house. Her brothers took her back home along with her daughters, who were of 8 and 10 years back then.

Her eyes were now searching for her two angels. Why only them? why not the rest? Because, the rest of them had gone out for a small tour. Yeah, mean people! Shardha's brothers were kind enough to ask if she and her daughters would like to go with them. But sensing their wives's disagreement to their presence in the tour, Shardha denied and decided to stay back with her daughters. She said she would like to spend some time with her daughters.

She reached upstairs and opened the door that was on the immediate left, just after the stairs. She slowly released the portion of saree from her left hand and shifted the plate from her right hand to her left. Then she slowly opened the door and walked in.

She found both her daughters sleeping on their bed covering themselves from head to toe with the blanket.

She moved ahead calling out to them. "Gudiya .... Cheeku .. it's late.. come on get up!"

She pulled the blanket off, to find pillows stuffed under it. Oh God! She was tricked for the millionth time.

she suddenly felt chin placed on her right shoulder. Slowly , a pair of hands circled her waist, hugging her from her back. She recognized the person immediately, so she titled her head to meet the person's head. Then she slowly touched the person's cheek with a motherly care, she spread a warm smile across her face said, " Gudiya.... you never change." to her eldest daughter, Meghna Solanki, whom she dearly called Gudiya(doll).

She is a girl with long black hair, lean body that stood 4 to 5" taller than her mother. She loved her family more than anything else in the world and her happiness laid in her family. Meghna giggled as she replied, "You too never change ma."

Ma is what they called Shardha. Meghna slowly moved forward and stood in front of her mother and bent down to touch her feet. While Shardha placed her right hand over Meghna's head blessing her wholeheartedly. She then stood up straight and picked the prasad from the plate and placed it her mother's mouth. She always preferred to give her mother the prasad than having it herself. Shardha bit the sweet and took the rest half and placed it in her daughter's mouth. She applied a little kumkum on Meghna's forehead. Then placed a gentle kiss on Meghna's cheek. Both of them exchanged smiles.

But this moment was spoiled by a cute upset voice.

"All the love for Meghu Di only?"

Meghna looked behind her mother while Shardha turned around. It was Naina Solanki, whom they (both Shardha and Meghna) call Cheeku, dearly. Naina was just 2 to 3 inches taller than her mother. She was lean but not as lean as her sister. She was an energetic and happy person she rarely lost her temper unlike her sister, who lost her temper frequently. The sisters had few things in common like their cute laughter and also their mischievous eyes.. not to forget their detective minds that suddenly woke up, out of the blue!

Naina was now standing and glaring at her mother with her hands on her hips. Shardha walked towards her and forwarded the plate to her and smiled. Naina stood there faking anger. She then bent down and touched her mother's feet. Shardha blessed her. Naina stood up Straight but didn't look at Shardha. She acted like a child, looking elsewhere with an angry expression and folded her hands. She tapped her feet impatiently, as though waiting for her mother to give her some explanation.

She applied a little kumkum on Naina's forehead. Then planted a sweet kiss on Naina's cheek. Which made Naina smile from ear to ear and free her hands. Shardha picked up the prasad from the plate and brought it up to Naina's mouth but Naina stopped her hand and broke it into two. And both of them placed the prasad in eachother's mouth and ate it .

Naina threw her hands open and hugged her mother with a beautiful bright smile on her face.Seeing this, Meghna took the plate away from Shardha's hands and stood there watching both of them.

Naina saw this and said," Oh madam, punishment hai, kya? Come na?" Meghna kept the plate aside and giggled at the way her sister spoke. She moved ahead and smacked Naina's head. All the three of them laughed and had a group hug.
