Kunal felt a palm, a soft palm, cover his lips, stopping him from screaming.
He could hear laughter. He could also hear his heart beating like he wouldn't live for another second.
Almost immediately he felt another palm placing itself gently on his chest. He felt calm.

Kunal slowly opened his eyes.
Bright beautiful eyes filled with happiness and mischief.
His heart had calmed down yet gradually picked up a beat of its own.
Dancing to a tune of its own.
"I'm so sorry... Please don't shout..."
He could hear the voice.
He suddenly fell in love with that voice...
He heard his mind whisper a word. Just that one word. It seemed like the most beautiful word on this planet...

Meghna...

Meghna slowly pulled her arms away and continued to giggle.
Kunal's lips curved into a smile as he watched Meghna laugh.

He felt a pinch on his right arm. He winced as he turned to look.

Rahul mouthed "Stop smiling you, idiot!"
Kunal straightened up immediately and announced that it was a time that they left this place.
The girls moved back into the room.

Karan stopped the car right in front of Naina's hostel.
He stepped out and walked towards the gate and paused.

Wait. Where am I going? Actually why the hell did I come here?!

He turned to walk away but then stopped. He walked to the security guard who was very busy on his phone.

"Excuse me, Bhaisahab... Woh... Actually... I wanted to know if a..." Karan had no clue what he was supposed to say.

The guard continued to look into his phone. He seemed annoyed.
"Tsk." He clicked his tongue. "You seem like a gentleman... I can trust you... if you have some work with someone in the hostel walk straight in...."

Karan was taken aback by the response.
Karan didn't want to get in. He found some girl walking by.

"Excuse me.."
The girl gave him a look and walked away.

He waited at the gate.
Radhika was walking by and saw Karan standing there.

She walked up to him.
"Karan? What are you doing here?"

Karan felt nervous suddenly.
" Umm... I...ah..uh.... I"

"Do you want anything?" Radhika said in a softer tone.

"Uh... I just wanted to know if... Naina has reached the hostel...."

"Yeah, she just came back... Why? Was she with you?!"

"Huh?! Uh... No!! She... I saw her at college... It's late now... I was checking if she reached safely back.."

"Oh.. you don't have to worry.. she's safe... She's in the room.. should I call her? Do you have anything to say-"

"No!! I don't have anything to tell her... Thank you.. " he said and turned to leave but then pause and turned back again.

Radhika had turned away too.
" Actually...." He said. And Radhika spun around.

"Huh?"

"Actually..."

"Go ahead..."

"Can you tell her that I'm thankful and sorry too?"

"Uh.. okay..." Radhika was confused.
Before she could say anything Karan spun around, got into his car and left.

Radhika smiled and ran up to her room.

Meghna picked another dress from the wardrobe and ask Priyanka to change and come back meanwhile they wore their masks on and waited.
