When you were with me,
You told me of a place,
Where everything is good,
Everyone is kind,
A place of joy and love,
A place where our worries
and insecurities couldn't catch us,
A place for you n me,
So when you disappeared,
I vowed to search for the place,
For you n me,
For the both of us,
So I searched far and wide,
And at last I found the place,
That we dreamt of,
A place for you n me,
But now that I'm here,
Why do I feel so empty?
So disappointed,
With no sense of accomplishment,
And then I realize that I was alone,
Standing in a place meant for two,
And I know now,
That without you,
This place means nothing,
The place for you n me,
That without you,
No matter how high I fly,
My wings will always feel heavy,
No matter who I love,
My heart will never beat steady,
No matter how hard I try,
I just won't be ready,
And with that realization,
I sink further into myself,
And leave the place,
Swearing to return with you,
To the place for you n me.
