You swore to protect me from all those who could harm me
Little did I know that the list didn't include your own name.
You promised me you would slay the monsters for me
Little did I know that you would become one.
You assured me you would be by my side through rain and drought
Little did I know that you would bring the storm that would destroy me.
You said you would hold me tight even if I was at the edge of the cliff
Little did I know that you would be the one who would drag me down
