*Sigh* It's Desi's one shot XD Damn thing won't let me tag her...
Jon smiled as he tucked the 8 year old twins, Athena and Leo, into bed. He ran a hand through his brown fluffy hair as he walked up to his room. He logged onto his computer and went to Skype. Jon's love of his life, Evan, is an active soldier in the military.
Luckily for Jon, Evan picked it with his dead gorgeous smile. "Hey Jonny." He said. Jon couldn't help but smile. "Hi Evy. How's it going?" Jon asked. Evan shrugged, "I wish you were here with me. You and the twins." This caused Jon to sigh. "Me too Evy. But hey, as long as your holding on, so am I."
Evan couldn't help but smile wider. "This is why I love you." Jon grinned. "I love you too. And so do the twins, but they're sleeping." Evan chuckled as he looked at the time. "Shit. I have to go. Bye Jonny. Love you." Before Jon could reply, Evan hung up.
Jon frowned and sighed. "I love you too." He mumbled before closing out of the computer. He got up and laid down on his bed. A bed that felt too big for Jon. His door slowly creaked opened as Jon's eyes fluttered open and looked at the door. It was his little girl and oldest twin, Athena.
She looked so much like her dad. From her long black hair to her being tall for her age. The only thing she had of Jon was his blue eyes. "Mommy?" She asked in a whisper. "Yeah?" Jon whispered back. "I had a nightmare." Athena frowned. He sat up and held his arms out. "Come here."
Athena walked over and laid next to Jon as he hugged her. "It's okay. I'm here." He mumbled before pecking Athena's forehead. Athena closed her eyes as she cuddled with her mommy. "Mommy. Where Daddy?" She asked. Jon ran a hand through her hair.
"Daddy's a soldier so he works a lot. He'll be home this Thanksgiving." Jon smiled a little at the thought. Athena nodded. "Okay. Mommy come to school with us?" She gave Jon the pouty lip and big eyes causing him to chuckle. "Mommy was going anyway. You know Veteran's? Daddy is an active one."
"Oh." Athena nodded and closed her eyes. Jon slowly closed his eyes. "Goodnight Angel. I love you." Athena opened her eyes and looked at Jon. "I love Mommy too." She said before closing her eyes. Jon sighed before closing his eyes. He wish Evan was here.
~The Next Day~
Jon sat in the front with one twin on each side of him. He thought it wouldn't be too bad to go to the schools veterans event. After all, it wouldn't hurt anyone. Each twin was holding Jon's hands. Athena holding his left as Leo held his right. A fifth grader just finished singing the national anthem.
Everyone clapped as the principal took the microphone back. "So. Who here has a veteran? Active or retired?" She asked. Both Leo and Athena raised their hands along with many other kids. "Really? Wow. Who?" She walked over to some kids.
She walked over to a little boy. "My older brother Tommy!" He said. The principal then walked over to a small girl. "My aunt Jean." She then walked over to Athena and Leo. "Who do you two have?" She asked. "Our Daddy!" Leo smiled.
"He coming home for Thanksgiving!" Athena added. Jon smiled at the two. "Is that so?" The principal asked Jon. He nodded. "My husband is active in the military." He said and hugged the twins. "What if I told you two to look at the door." She smiled.
All three of them had a question mark over their heads as the turned to face the door. Nothing. Athena looked at the principal. "What suppose to be there?" She asked. "Sorry. Come on it. The principal shouted." Then, someone walked in as Jon felt his heart drop.
There. Stood Evan. Smiling and looked at the twins and Jon. Athena shot out of her seat and hugged Evan with Leo right behind her. Evan picked the twins up and hugged them. "Daddy!" Athena smiled and started to cry a little. Leo began to cry right behind her.
Jon just stood there. Stunned. How was Evan here? Right now? Evan put the twins down as he looked at Jon. He smiled and walked over to Jon. Jon snapped out of his thoughts and hugged Evan tightly. Evan hugged back as Jon started to cry.
When they pulled away Evan smiled lightly. "H-How are you here?" Jon asked as tears rolled down his cheek. Evan wiped the tears with his thumb. "That's why I had to go last night. My plane landed." Jon couldn't help it as he kissed Evan right on the lips.
Evan kissed back and picked Jon up by the waist. People awed as some were recording. Evan put Jon down as he pulled away. "I love you so much Evan Fong." Evan smiled. "I love you too Jonathan Fong." People around them either clapped or looked away. Either way, they didn't care. There family was whole again.
