I smiled as I set my phone down and pulled on a pair of checkered Pajama pants.
" Amber, can you come downstairs please, someone Cheryth just came over!" My mom shouted up the stairs.
" yeah, coming!" I grabbed my phone and ran out my door and down the stairs.
" Hey," Cheryth smiled weakly as she stood there holding a pillow.
" my mom told me to come spend the night here, her and dad had another argument and she didn't want me to be there to hear it." Cheryth had obviously been crying. She must have not had that much time to get out of the house. Her face was covered in mascara.
" Here, come upstairs we can talk and clean up, okay?" I reached out an arm to her led her up to my bathroom.
When we got upstairs I grabbed a towel and some makeup wipes. " Here"
Cheryth looked in the mirror and looked horrified " wow, I didn't know I looked this bad!" She weakly giggles as she wiped away the caked on mascara.
Cheryth's mom and dad were always fighting. She usually cane over at least once a week to get away from the yelling and abuse. She always said her mom told her to come over. But our family was already aware that her mom was always too drunk to say any more than a sentence of swearing gibberish.
" do u want to talk?"
" Sure, but not about my mom. Let's talk about that cute kid in our english class!" Cheryth's face lit up.
" Okay" I laughed as I slipped down on my back on my bed.
" he is super cute, oh my gosh! What's his name Jon you said? And I've seen you and Brent getting along. How's that going?" Cheryth raised her eyebrows
" it's only been the first day of school Cheryth don't be getting any ideas! But he did ask me to go to troys party with him this Friday"
" Ahhhhhh! Tell me you said yes, if you didn't I will for you!"
" I said yes." I grinned
