As Brent and I were walking through the hallways I saw a couple other kids I had know throughout the grade school. Among them was Geoff. Geoff dated my cousin in grade ten and we became really close. But when they broke up and she moved away he stopped talking to me. I always wondered why.
"Here we are, biology!"
Brent announced to me as he stepped aside and bowed allowing me to walk in before him. I couldn't help but giggle.
After we walked in Brent went and sat beside another boy a bit taller then Brent. He looked at me in a way that made me feel uneasy. As if he were hungry or something, I shivered
I decided to sit near the front beside a girl with brown and blond streaked straight hair. She had her earbuds in but I tried to start a conversation anyways.
"Hey"
Nothing
"Ummm, Hey?"
Still nothing
Okay, she couldn't hear me.
I pulled out my binder and a pencil. A very tall girl with black shiny hair sat on the other side of the streaked hair girl.
"Hey, Em"
The girl pulled out her earbud right away, and started to chat.
Wow, the whole time she could hear me.
The teacher walked in and the class started. I looked back at Brent. He winked. I smiled.
