Anakin smiled as he held his daughter.

Leia . The toddler slept soundly as her twin brother fussed in his mother's arms. The small family had been hiding out in a small home on Alderaan ever since the Empire took over. Padme hushed Obi Wan as he walked in. The older Jedi smiled, gesturing for Anakin to step outside. The young father laid Leia down next to her mother, walking out with his former master.

"Anakin, I know you're very busy with the twins, but-" Anakin cut him off.

"I can't join the rag-tag team you're calling a Rebellion right now, Obi-Wan. Ive already told you that. Not with Padme needing me." The young man fingered the lightsaber on his belt. "Someday, I'll do all I can to stop Palpatine. But, I can't abandon them. Especially considering your group is so small." Obi-Wan sighed. He had been gathering people for months now, people he could trust.

"Anakin, there's a new Sith." Anakin's eyes widened in shock. "They have been terrorizing people everywhere, supposedly in search for you. Apparently Darth Sidious wasn't too happy you turned down his generous offer."

"Ya think?" Anakin said dryly. He glanced back to the door that his family lay behind. The conflict in him was strong, torn between duty and family. Even Obi-Wan could sense it.

      "Anakin-"

"No, I have to protect them. And if that means joining you, then fine. But there has to be someone here when I'm not, someone competent enough to protect them at all times."

"I'm glad you've changed your mind." Anakin turned at the sound of a new voice. "I'm not sure if you remember me, I'm-"

      "Bail Organa." The man smiled.

"I see you do remember me. Good. Now, let's get to business, shall we?"
------- Six Years Later

"It's incredible, Padme. In such a short time, they've managed to gather quite a few people for their Rebellion."

"Well, from what I've heard, the people are crying out at the injustice of the Empire. Many lives have been lost already to the clones. And now, there's talk of replacing them." Anakin winced at the reminder. Padme fell silent, staring at her lap.

"Hey," he said softly. He walked over to his wife, placing his hand on hers."What's wrong? You haven't acted like yourself for days."

"Ani... when Obi-Wan came here to talk to you about joining the rebellion those years ago, I too was offered a chance to help."

"Angel..." Padme held up a hand.

"Wait, let me finish. I declined, wanting to stay and take care of my family. But now... I need to do something to help, Anakin! I can't just sit here, waiting for you to return from the war that's raging right outside our own home!" Anakin pulled his wife into a hug, kissing her in the forehead.

"I would never expect you to. That wouldn't be the Padme I know." Padme smiled in relief.

"They suggested that I join the Imperial Senate. With my connections to the Emperor, they think I could get in."

      "Are you sure?"

"No, Anakin, I'm not. But I have to help. That I am sure about." Anakin paused for a moment, weighing his options.

      "What about the twins?"

"I've thought about that. I think you should train them." Anakin's eyes widened. "It seems they take after their father. I watched Leia lift her lunch today, without using her hands. Luke soon followed suit, learning from his sister. I think that if they could defend themselves, I would feel a lot better about this." Padme watched as her husband ran his robotic hand through his hair, exhaling.

"Yeah, fine. I would feel better too."

"Mom?" The couple turned to see their kids walk into the room. "What do you and Daddy mean, 'train us'?" Anakin grinned at his eight year old daughter. He walked over to her, kneeling, then put his hand on her shoulder.

"Remember the tales of the Jedi that we tell you before bed?" The twins nodded. "How would you like to become part of those tales? How would you like to become..." Anakin dropped his voice down to a stage whisper. "A Jedi?"  Leia began to jump up and down excitedly, while her brother simply stood there and grinned from ear to ear. Their mother smiled.

"Well, then, I suppose it's settled."

Hey y'all. So, I know that this fanfic isn't great so far, but I'm doing my best to make it good! I promise that (hopefully) it will get better. Also, if some of you are like me, then you are chanting "Ahsoka. Ahsoka. Ahsoka." because who doesn't love good old Snips. She'll get here soon, I promise! I know it's going kinda slow, I just am having trouble picking what to add where. Also, I am not entirely sure about how this fanfic is gonna go, I'm kinda surprising myself as I go along.... sorry for the little rant explaining all the reasons why you shouldn't like the fanfic.
Anyway, hope you like it!
