I can't believe she did that she gave up her like to make sure I was safe.
I was sitting in the chair next to the bed where Bella's recovering body was laying. Carlisle was able to put her back together with the help of Edward.
Now Edward was a different story. He has been all over the place. He has been moody because he is so stressed. He is having to hunting more often, but then again doesn't want to leave Bella. He has been in and out of the room to check on her, but he can't sit still.
Everyone else is what seams like walking on egg shells. For the first few days the major was out wanting to make sure his sister was protected. He is extremely protective over Izzy.
It has been five days after the battle and Izzy still isn't showing any signs of waking up. All of the cracks have healed, but she is not awake yet. I get up to go hunt when all of a sudden Izzy shoots up and is on high alert. I turn around quickly, not thinking, and before I can take another breath, she has me pined against the wall growling at me. "Izzy. It's me Jasper. I'm not gonna hurt you", I said softly. Her black eyes turn back to a dark gold and she drops me throwing herself across the room. Her hands are over her mouth. "Oh my.... Oh my god... I'm so sorry Chance. I'm so sorry", she says over and over again. "Hey. Bells. It's okay. It's okay", I said. "No it's not. I let her get away. With everything she did I let her get away!", Bella cried.

"Izzy, no you didn't. Maria is dead. You killed her. She is dead", I said. "Really?". "Yes Izzy. She is dead".
All of a sudden the door flew open and Edward was standing in the door way. "Your awake, your alive", he said. They ran to each other and hugged for what seamed like forever. Edward peppered her face with little kisses. "Jasper, can you leave us alone for a minute. I have some things I would like to talk to Bella about", Edward said. I knew there was going to be some serious topics covered. 'Remember Edward. She just woke up she is not to mentally stable. She will not handle big things well right now', I thought to him. He nodded.
I went down stairs. "Carlisle can I talk to you?". "Of course my son". "Carlisle there is a part in mine and Izzy's brain that is like a humanity switch. We can't let anything big happen to her for at least a good month until she gets back mentally stable again. If she flips the switch, the worst part of the goddess of war will come out and she will not have a care in the world. The humanity switch is only there for vampires who have an alter ego. That switch is sometimes what is the difference between life and death of a race", I said.
Carlisle was getting ready to speak when we heard yelling. "How am I suppose to protect you when you go off on suicide missions!", Edward yelled. 'Edward STOP', I yelled through my mind, but he was not listening. "I was protecting my brother Edward!", Izzy yelled back. Oh No this is not good. "Is that all your gonna do? Protect your brother?", Edward asked angry. "He is my only family left. So yes. I will protect him", Izzy yells back. "So what are we gonna do. You are so hellbent on saving your brother, we can't be proper mates!", Edward yells. Carlisle and I run up to the room just to see Edwards eyes flash black and then back again. "I don't know Edward but we will figure something out. I will protect my brother and be a mated pair, but I have to work through it". "What is there to work out Bella. You will defend and protect your brother before your mate. Why are we even mates then. Why should I have a mate that doesn't care about me? Why would I want one?", Edward yells. "EDWARD!", Carlisle and I yell at the same time.
Bella's eyes widen and they go back to the carmel golden color. Tears fill them. Edward comes to his senses and realizes what he had just done. "Bella I-". "No Edward. If that is how you really feel that I am not a good enough mate, that I can't take protect both my brother and my mate, then so be it. If that is what you really want. I Isabella Whitlock reject you Edward Cullen as my mate". "Bella he didn't me-". "Save it Jasper. What's done is done. Just please leave me be", Bella said as the tears that had built up in her eyes had now started to fall.

I had never seen Izzy so broken before. I looked in her eyes and I could tell what she was gonna do. "No Izzy don't!". But I was too late. Bella had flipped the switch. She looked at me with a sad smile which I now know is fake as she jumped out the window, and ran off into the night. I looked back to Edward whose face was now completely void of any anger and now filled with sadness, pain, and regret. "What did I just do?".
