They tell me I'm almost an adult
"Act like it"
It's an endless assault
Can't you see all I did?
I'm tired of doing never enough
I'm still young after all
Why do you want me to do stuff
When I'm still learning how to fall?
Hey grown up, grown up
I don't want to be you
Reaching for the next alcohol cup
Darkening the world in a grey view
I'm a kid stuck in an almost adult's body
I still need my stuffed hamster to sleep
Is it really that hard to see
That jump you want us to do is too big a leap?
I know the world's not fair
But can't you slow down
Before my mind tears?
