"Don't go away. I don't want to be alone. I can't stand being alone. "-Arnold Rothstein
However far I am from someone I care about and no matter what they'll never think of me. That's the feeling I get every time I'm alone. I don't exist if you can't see me.
{*~chapter 4~*}
During the time she spent walking with Faolan and Poppy she learned valuable lessons. Some that she didn't need and others she would take care to remember. One is being silent makes you mysterious... according to that strange boy. She didn't understand his way of thinking though she was thankful for the comment. Another lesson she learned was that you can stop walking and those who say they care will forget your existence. That one was sad but useful anyhow. third wheeling was a dangerous game when the two people you're third wheeling are trying to avoid third wheeling. It was kind of funny how they flirted. Poppy was smooth as a human could be. At one point she fell to the ground so he naturally asked if she was ok. Without missing a beat she smirked, speaking clearly and said," It seems I have fallen... for you."
She couldn't help giggling into her sleeve like an idiot. Well anyway they managed to get to the university gates
"So are you two lovers or something?" She asked quietly.
"Oh god no, he's my cousin," Poppy whispered as they watched him wave goodbye.
"Oh it's just that-that you two were flirting like that...." he stuttered looking away as she flushed.
"Yeah, that's just friendly banter." Poppy pulled Erika into a small building.
"We, well I mean I am going to introduce to my theatre crew, watch out though. Don't mention any musical around them unless you want a personal human radio." Poppy flung open a door laughing.
She seemed way too excited as a bad feeling washed over her. As they practically ran down the weaving hallways until someone appeared randomly. poppy swerved missing them by inches while Erika took them down with a shriek.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to, are you ok?" Erika panicked.
"Don't worry, I'm always happy when an angel bumps into me," Max spoke up with a smirk.
"She's fine, now stop straddling Miss less." Poppy helped Erika stand.
"Aw don' t take my precious angel away!" She moaned.
"Leave my innocent roommate alone." Poppy stood protectively.
"Lucky ducky!" She stood up pouting.
"is everyone in room 3 or 6?" Poppy ignored her last comment.
"2, be careful though, Hamilton alert. Another new girl got here before her and let's just say they are singing all the songs very loudly." Se warned.
"What's the new girl called Max, is she...? Her eyes darkened.
"Angelica, a Pele." Her answer was short though it sent fear up Erika's spine.
"Angelica... Faolan mentioned that name during breakfast..."She eyed Erika.
They stood in silence for what felt like decades while it was really only a good few minutes. Erika wrapped her arms around her stomach. Max pulled at her blond strands as she closed her glassy green eyes. Poppy felt ice cover them. It wasn't as warm as it was a few moments ago.
"Erika... come, I'll show you the others I need to make sure of something." She began to walk away.
"If you get bored angel ask for maxi, they'll know who I am." She smiled leaving quickly.
