Chapter 9: Killian Teaches Me To Calm Down (Emma's P.O.V)

Once again, I really wanted to run. I hadn't seen Pan before I'd sent the two back to the car. I was extremely glad I'd gotten Henry away from him, and that he was with someone that I trusted to protect him, but I could use Killian's help right now.

"Hello, saviour," Pan said, looking down at Regina. "How the hell are you alive?" I demanded, looking around for some sort of weapon to defend myself.

"You know, I actually have the same question," he replied with a cruel smile. "Frankly, I don't care though, because I heard Elsa's in town. And that my dear son is alive. Can't say I'm too happy about that one," Pan sighed.

"What did you do to her?!?" I yelled worriedly, pointing to Regina. "She wasn't cooperating," he said simply. I couldn't find any weapons. Great, magic it is. I blasted him with a ray of white light.

He instantly collapsed and I picked Regina up, transporting us both to the hospital. I ran up to one of the nurses and demanded for Whale. The nurse quickly found him and withing two minutes of arriving in the hospital, Regina was taken into the ER.

I called Henry as Killian didn't have a cell phone. "Mom? Are you okay?!?" Henry exclaimed when he picked up the phone. "Henry, give the phone to Killian please," I said, as calmly as I could under the circumstances.

"Hello?" Killian said a few seconds later. "Killian! Get out of there now! Pan! He's back! I knocked him down with magic, I'm at the hospital with Regina! Come! Please!" I was close to tears at this point. I thought we'd get a break from this crap!

"Emma, I can't captain this odd vessel of yours!" Killain said. "Henry! David taught him to drive!" I said, desperate at this point for them to be here. To be able to lean into Killian's warm chest and feel reassured.

"Um, no. I'm not going to risk getting killed by a twelve year old boy captaining a large metal bubble," Killian said. Man, I need to teach him about modern world things. "Killian! Please!" I exclaimed, tears starting to fall. "Emma, love, breathe. You used magic to get there right? Use it to get back here," Killian said calmly.

"I, uh, I'm sorry," I said waving my hand and suddenly I was in the bug with Henry and Killian. "I can't think straight right now, I'm sorry," I said, ending the call and looking at Killian sadly.

He took my the back of my head in his hand and kissed my lips tenderly. I started crying. I heard Henry chuckling in the back of the car. I sighed, pulling away from Killain's lips, and pulling him into a hug.

"Thank you," I whispered into his ear. He nodded, looking down into my eyes and smiling reassuringly. "Come on, let's go," he said. I nodded, starting the car. I sped back to the hospital. If I wasn't sort of sheriff (I hadn't really gone to work as sheriff in a while. David seemed to like the job) I probably would've been in some big trouble.

I was surprised Henry didn't ask any questions. I was happy he didn't. As we arrived, I saw nurses running around and I told Henry to sit down with Killain. He nodded in understanding. Again, I was really glad he wasn't asking questions and trying to help. He knew by listening and staying quiet, he was helping.

"Where's Regina?" I asked a nurse who was writing things down on a clipboard. She pointed to the room she was just in and I promptly burst in the room. "Whale, what's going on, is she okay?" I demanded.

Dr. Whale was attaching her to a few machines. "She was cut by some sort of blade. She lost quite a bit of blood, but with some rest she should be fine," he said, turning around to look at me with a smile.

I sighed in relief. "Thank god," I said, "thank you," I said, running out to bring Henry home and to find Rumple. I needed to talk to him and figure out how the hell we were going to deal with a crazy ice queen who wants to kill my boyfriend and an insane teenager who will stop at nothing to murder my son.

"Mom, are you okay?" Henry said when I came back. "Yeah, kid, fine. So is Regina," I assured him. He nodded happily. "Let's get you home, okay?" I said, gesturing to the door. Killian took my hand and the three of us left the hospital, on our way to my parents' apartment.

When we got there, I couldn't really explain to my parents because we needed to leave. I just told them there was an emergency and I took off, dragging Killian with me. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!" I exclaimed as I started driving to Gold's shop.

"Calm down, love. We've gotten rid of him before, we'll do it again. This time without a life being taken," Killian assured me calmly. I was hyperventilating, trying to focus on driving, but I just couldn't. I was sick of this! It had never been fair, but at this point I was getting fed up with constantly having to deal with psychopaths that wanted to hurt my family!

I nodded and once we arrived at Gold's shop, I sat there, trying to calm down for a moment. I couldn't help it anymore though, and burst into tears. "Hey, hey, hey," Killian said, "Emma. Honey, we'll get through this, I promise," he said, pulling me into a hug.

"How can you be so sure?!?" I cried, "Elsa is after you, we barely beat Pan last time and I can't lose anyone, Killian, I can't lose you!" "I'm sure because I know you won't let that happen. Swan, I know you and I know no one can beat you. You're a bloody intimidating opponent," he said with a laugh.

"Believe me, I've had first hand experience and going up against you is terrifying," Killian said, stroking my hair. "We are all a team, Emma. You, me, your parents, Regina, Rumplestiltskin, Belle... All of us," he said.

I looked at him, "I love you," I said, a tear falling down my cheek. The way his face lit up when I said that made me so happy, but also guilty for making him wait so long for that. Even though it wasn't the first time I'd said it to him, it was the first time he was sure that I really did love him.

"And I love you. Always have," Killian said, caressing my cheeks in his hands. He leaned forward and kissed me. I relaxed, returning the kiss, slowly and passionately. We stayed like this for a few moments before I became vaguely aware of movement by the shop. I started to ignore it, caught up in the moment, but then realized the task at hand.

"Killian," I breathed against his lips. "Aye?" He breathed back. "Is that...?" I asked. "Yeah, they're watching," he said. I laughed, touching my forehead to his. I looked over to the door of the shop to see Rumple and Belle gently smiling at us.

I shook my head at them with a smile. "Well, I guess we have to ruin this moment, eh?" Killian asked sadly. "We'll resume later," I promised, taking the keys out of the ignition. I opened the car door and walked up to a smirking Dark One.

"It's called privacy," I said walking past him into the shop. "How can I help you, Miss Swan?" He asked. "We have a problem," I said. "Didn't seem like it a moment ago when you were enjoying the pirate's company," he replied, looking at Killian who glared back.

"I'm serious. Regina's in the hospital because of someone I doubt you'll be happy to know is back," I said. Rumple gave me a confused look "Pan. He's back," I said cautiously. Rumple pushed Killian out of the way bursting out of the shop. "That went well," Killian muttered sarcastically as Belle, Killain and I ran after him.
