Chapter 13: Darkness

"That's it! How the hell does that, in any way at all resemble me?!?!" Killian exclaimed. "The... No, not the hook anymore... Um, the rivalry with the crocodile? That history's too complicated, no. Oh! I know! He's the captain of the... Nope. I've got nothing. Wait!!! His first mate is Mr. Smee!!!" I said.

"Not really..." Killian sighed. I laughed and patted his shoulder. "Don't worry, if it makes you feel better I like the real life version of you better," I said, planting a kiss to his lips.

He took advantage of that and turned it into a full on make out session. "Killian!!!" I exclaimed, trying not to laugh when I finally got him to stop. "Sorry, but a woman as beautiful as you deserves my full and prompt attention," he smirked, using the same line that past him had.

"First off, I've heard that one before, second, we're supposed to be babysitting!" I pointed to Neal, who was sleeping in a crib beside the couch. "So? He's sleeping," Killian said, stroking my hair.

"No. We're watching Peter Pan," I said stubbornly. Killian groaned. "Why? I hate this movie! It makes me look like a fool and it makes that blasted child Pan look like a good person. I don't like it," he whined.

I laughed and curled up against his chest, closing my eyes. "Swan! What are you... Fine," he said stubbornly. I felt Killian's arm wrap around me and he fixed the blanket that was draped over the two of us.

At some point we fell asleep. I awoke to a sound at the door. It was Mary Margaret, David, Regina, Robin, Belle, Neal and Rumple. They walked in the apartment and I laughed. They were all covered in snow and Regina was magically making hot chocolates and coffees appear for all of them.

"You guys look cold," I remarked with a smile. "Stupid witch decided it would be fun to shove us all down a cliff. And 'catch' us with snow. Remind me again how she's any better than Zelena!" Neal huffed. "Well, mate, Zelena did kill you," Killian said.

Neal nodded in agreement. "Well anyway, we didn't have any luck. Are you feeling any better, Killian?" David asked, "we could use you and Emma to help," "Yeah, and trying to hold off Elsa by myself with magic isn't very effective," Regina piped in, looking at Rumple.

Rumple glared right back "That's not my fault," he grumbled. Belle put her hand on his shoulder and Neal clapped him on the back. I got up, followed by Killian and walked over to join everyone in the kitchen.

Robin had started to brush the snow off of himself but my mom was glaring at him. "What?" "No snow in my kitchen," she said, pointing to the door. "Then you'd better leave, Snow," Robin replied, pointing to the door as well. "Funny," she replied sarcastically. Everyone else laughed.

"To answer your question, David, I would have helped you today but your daughter is holding my prisoner here, forcing me to watch atrocious movies that do not reflect me at all," Killian complained.

"Peter Pan, huh?" Neal asked me. I nodded and he laughed. "Nice," Rumple shuddered at the name. "Sorry," Neal said. "So what now?" I asked. "Now we eat, I'm starving," David said. "Granny's anyone?" Everyone nodded in agreement.

"Wait, where's Henry?" Regina asked me. "With Ruby. He'll be at Granny's when we get there," I informed her. She nodded and walked over to Robin, taking his hand and everyone walked. I smiled, happy that things had worked out with them and Marian.

Killian came up from behind me and took my hand. I smiled up at him, kissing his cheek quickly and we left too, leaving Mary Margaret and David behind, waking baby Neal up and getting him ready to go.

We followed everyone else down the street and probably scared half the town. I mean, there was a line of some of the most powerful, royal, formerly evil and formerly enemies walking down the street, two by two (all the couples. Except for Neal, who was walking alongside Rumple and Belle) and not trying to kill each other. That alone was probably a surprise, but the fact that we all walked into Granny's and sat at the same table was probably what made most people leave as soon as we got there.

"My diner is not a place for a fight!" Granny walked over to the table we were sitting at. "Why does everyone think we're fighting? If you haven't noticed, we have bigger issues than each other," Rumple sighed.

"We simply came to eat. It's not our fault people are scared of us," Killian said. I giggled and sat down beside him. "Anyway, just last week, I remember most of us were all here together anyway," Regina said. After a few more minutes, my parents got there and we all ordered.

"So what exactly happened with Elsa?" I asked. "Well," Regina said, "we found her in the forest, complaining about being knocked out by someone in a mask. She said they freed Killian. She was looking for him and we refused to tell her where he was so she had a bit of a temper tantrum. Seriously, it was worse than the ones Henry used to have. It was actually amusing," she laughed.

"Hey!" Henry, who was walking over to us said. We all laughed. "What? Did she cause a huge snowstorm?" I asked, getting nods from everyone. "Um, okay. So we have an emotional, childlike ice queen to deal with," I sighed. "An ice queen that wants to kill your boyfriend," Regina added. "He's not... He's... Okay, he's my boyfriend. The point is we need to get rid of her," I said.

A few people laughed. I was happy to see Neal was one of them. Hopefully this meant we wouldn't have another lighter incident. I was happy he was okay with this. Killian smiled smugly and wrapped his arm around me. I blushed and shook my head laughing.

After eating, we were getting ready to go back to the apartment when're door blasted open. Everyone stood up, ready for a fight. I pushed Henry behind Killian and I and Mary Margaret held the baby tightly. "What do you want?" Killian demanded. "I wanted to find you of course, Killian. I wanted to find you weakness. I think I have too. This woman here, you seem to be very close," she gestured to me.

"Well, let's see just how close you two are..." She said. "Elsa!" Killian said exclaimed. "I am sorry for what I did! It was years ago, my brother had just died and I'm sorry! Please, let's not turn this into something bigger than it is!" He pleaded.

"You killed me! You pushed me in the ocean! I drowned, Killian! I made a vow to my master Zoso that I would kill you and I shall do so! For the Dark One!" She said. "There is no Dark One anymore. Give up you revenge! Start over! Get a fresh start and be a better person!" Killian said.

"The Dark One curse is broken?" Elsa asked, looking furious. "What's wrong with-" I started. "Hush, fool!" -ahh!" Elsa blasted me with ice. I fell to my knees in pain, my hand over my chest. Almost... Where my heart was. It felt like my hear was in the process of freezing. "Emma!!!" Killian exclaimed. Elsa ran off.

"Emma! Are you okay?" I shook my head. He picked me up and sat me on a chair. My mom and Belle stayed with us, the baby and Henry, who Ruby took into the back so that the kids didn't have to see me like this. David kissed my forehead and told me I'd be okay before following the others, going after Elsa.

I wasn't too sure I would be okay. My entire body was feeling colder by the second. "Emma?" Killian came back with a blanket and draped in around my shoulders. "Are you okay?!? You going completely pale, love!" I shook my head and tried to say something, but I couldn't. The darkness that had been threatening to take me since I'd fallen to my knees just minutes ago finally consumed me. All I saw was blackness.
