Chapter 17: The Light at then End

Emma's P.O.V

We didn't get too lucky when it came to not being asked about Annabelle. Multiple people came up to us and asked who she was, if I was doing okay, if we'd found Elsa yet and a million other questions that Killian was handling.

"She's... A visitor, she means no harm, don't worry. Emma is doing fine, she's still recovering and she's a bit sick right now. We're working on finding Elsa, but we've run into a problem. No, Grumpy, I do not need a lecture from you on keeping Emma safe. I'm very capable of doing that myself, thank you," he was trying his best, anyway...

Annabelle was looking really overwhelmed. Killian and I looked at each other and shared a silent message: she needs to get to know us. I scooted closer to her in the booth and put my arm around her.

Killan, who was sitting at the other side of the table, took her hand. "We know that in your dimension, we're both dead. We understand that seeing us here, alive and together is upsetting for you, but we want you to know that we can be your parents if you choose to give us that opportunity. We can be a family," he said with a small smile.

Annabelle looked at him in wonder for a few moments. "Mom always said you were a generous man. She told me that you'd do anything for the people you loved. I always believed her, but I never thought I would get the chance to see it for myself. Now I know why she loved talking about you. You truly are a good person. I'd love for you two to be my parents," she said. It looked like she was tearing up again.

"Then it settled. Killian and I bought an apartment a few weeks ago, the three of will move in once we've taken care of Elsa.... Which bring me to our next question," I said, "How was Elsa stopped?"

"She... Wasn't," Annabelle said quietly, "I'm sorry I wish I could be of more help," Killian looked at me sadly. "No worried, live, we'll find a way to get rid of her," he assured Annabelle.

I smiled and nodded. "Why don't we go see the rest of the family? We'll plan what to do tonight, okay?" I asked. "Just... Please... Be careful. If you go to try and stop her tomorrow, please be careful. I don't want a repeat of my dimension. I don't want to lose my father," she said.

"Of course," Killian said for me because I was on the verge of tears. We took my car to my parents' apartment. When we walked in, Annabelle looked very overwhelmed. Killian and I introduced her to Mary Margaret, Henry and Baby Neal as well as Regina, Robin, Neal and Roland.

The apartment was pretty packed. David, Belle and Rumple, who had already met her watched a pretty awkward situation take place. When Regina came up to shake her hand, Annabelle looked at her, terrified. "What wrong, sweetheart? Are you okay?" Regina asked worriedly.

That was when we had to explain the fact that she was from another dimension where Regina had never become good. This made Regina very determined to bond with my daughter and prove to her that she was changed. As everyone got to know Annabelle, Killian and I managed to sneak away to my bedroom.

"Oh my god. We have a daughter, Killian. We have a kid. What the hell?!?" I started panicking right away. I had another child that I'd missed grow up. I felt extremely guilty.

"Emma, love... It's... I'm sorry," he said sadly as I crumpled I to his arms, sobbing. "She grew up without you. She lost me when she was only seven. Everyone else she loved died, Killian, I... The poor thing," I said into his chest. He put his chin on the top of my head.

"Shhh," he said, stroking my hair. I lay down on the bed, with him beside me, his arm wrapped around me and quickly fell asleep.

Elsa's P.O.V

After I struck the saviour with ice, I ran out of the diner. Zoso was dead. My master was killed by Rumplestiltskin. I couldn't believe it. Or that there was no Dark One at all. I knew this was my fault. If I hadn't summoned Peter Pan from the dead, I wouldn't have this problem right now.

I knew he would wreak havoc, I knew that everyone was terrified of him. I didn't think he'd die again within hours of me resurrecting him. Let alone that the repercussions of that would be the curse that gave me life breaking.

Master Zoso had told me that if the Dark One cycle was ever to break, that I'd have exactly three weeks to kill Killian Jones, and be immortal, or die. It was time to step up my game.

I went into hiding for a week. On the day that would be my last if I didn't kill the pirate, I went into town. The past week, I'd been staying in a palace that I'd built out of ice on the far north side of the town. I'd guarded it heavily with an invisibility spell (yes, I can use magic other than ice, I just prefer it because that's how I feel on the inside)

I walked on to Main Street and was promptly met by the saviour and her boyfriend. I looked at her in shock. "You're... You should be... I struck your heart with ice," I stumbled.

She just smiled. "Elsa, we want to help you. Please listen to us," she said. "No! He must die!" I yelled. Killian shook his head warily. "Then you've left us no choice. Natalie, as much as I wish we didn't have to do this, and as sorry as I am, it is the only choice we have left.

I tried to ask him what he was talking about, but it was too late. All around me, blinding white light surrounded me. I screamed, and tried to fight back, but to no avail. The light continued to push me down, until my knees buckled and I lost consciousness.

This chapter is crap, I know. I wanted to get it up because I know I promised one though. This book is coming to an end soon! 4-5 more chapter, I'm thinking? Don't worry, Elsa's story will be elaborated, as well as Annabelle's.

I just wanted to say thank you to all the support I got on the last few chapters, and the entire book in general! When I started this story, I didn't expect people to like it, and I'm so glad you guys do! It means so much to me that you enjoy my writing! Okay, I'm babbling again. Thank you so much for reading!
