When I kissed Haelie that night, sparks went off in my brain. She didn't push me off like I thought she might. I hadn't done this before with a girl. It was new to me, and it was extremely different. After maybe a second, she calmed down and even gave a little back to the kiss, seeming to relax against me.
I pulled away from her. "Do you feel better?" I asked, still a bit unsure.
She nodded, and somehow, I knew she wasn't lying to me.

The next couple of days went by. Haelie and I had become a couple, and a close one at that. Haelie had confessed to me that she was a lesbian and that she'd had a crush on me ever since we met only a week ago on the night that I kissed her. I told her that this was new to me, but I guessed I must be bi because I was the one that kissed her first. We kept the relationship quiet. Haelie's mother didn't know she was lesbian; my mom wouldn't have really cared, but I didn't want to risk it. We went almost everywhere together.
We were in the park together at night, swinging like little kids. Haelie was talking to me about this episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit that she'd seen earlier this morning. We were discussing it heavily, since we both loved the show so much. We were pretty much engrossed in the conversation so heavily, we didn't even hear the bunch of whores approach the swingset.
"Hey." I recognized the sound as Ray's sister's voice. She grabbed me from the swingset. "I was talking to you, little whore." The other girls were glaring at me.
I smiled. "You're looking a bit ugly, aren't you, Samantha?"
She smacked me.
Haelie got up from the swingset immediately. "Back for more? Get the hell away from my girlfriend!"
Samantha turned to Haelie. "Girlfriend? Oh, she's your girlfriend now? Hmmm... No. I don't think I'll get away from her." She nodded to her cronies. "Get her, girls."
Two of the chicks on Samantha's flank went at Haelie, ready to brawl. One of them threw a punch like Ray's sister had. Just as Haelie had before, she caught this one and was about to lay a punch on the girl who'd attempted the hit while the other kicked Haelie in the gut. I watched her double over and start coughing hard.
I squirmed in the grip that Samantha had me in.
"You watching, Val?" She flashed something from her pocket, and I realized it was a knife from what I could see. She pulled it up to my throat. I gulped, almost shaking with fear.
Haelie looked up and coughed. "Don't you dare hurt her!" She started to lunge at the college student.
Samantha pressed the knife closer to me. "If you even fucking move I will kill her. I'm not afraid to. My family is rich enough to bail me out, assuming we don't kill you, too!"
One of the girls kicked Haelie's legs out from under her. I watched her fall. Another girl joined in, and they started kicking Haelie all over like they had done to me.
I felt tears falling down my face. "Don't hurt her, please! I'll do what you want, just don't hurt her!"
There was a sick smile that I could sense coming from Samantha as she spoke. "Good girl, Valorie. Girls, stop."
The three quit kicking my girlfriend and looked at their ring leader like some kind of fucked up cult.
"Come along, Valorie. We're taking you somewhere extra special. If you scream, I'm killing you." Samantha covered my eyes and led me along to a vehicle, sitting me in it. The girls duct taped my hands together and blindfolded me with something that smelled vaguely like a dirty sock. I don't remember anything closely following that.

I regained consciousness, finding myself in what I guessed was a basement. Where am I? My arms were bound behind me to this chair that I was sitting in. Both of my legs were individually taped to the chair legs themselves. I took the time to look around, realizing there was all kinds of junk lying around, and there was a work bench against one wall with power tools above it on the wall.
I squirmed around, trying to get out. The tape hurt my wrists just as badly as rope would have.
I heard the creaking of the stairs and turned my head to see Ray coming down the stairs. "Oh, look. You're awake. So nice of you to join me Valorie." He came in front of me and bent down, looking at me. "You look so cute, bound up like that. I hear you got a girlfriend, too. I think it was that little freak that moved in. Haelie, wasn't it?"
"Where am I, Ray?"
"I'm not supposed to tell you that. Nobody knows where you are right now. This is punishment for breaking my sister's nose. You were such a bad girl, and you were very lucky she didn't just cut your throat when she had the chance."
I spit in his face, and the back of his hand collided with my cheek. It stung terribly, and I grimaced, trying to bear it. "Haelie's going to find me!"
"The hell she will. She doesn't know her way around here well enough to find you. If you apologize to my sister, we'll feed you."
"She doesn't deserve it."
"Well, then, you'd better hope you don't suffer starvation too badly. I'd hate to see such a pretty body go to waste." He smiled at me.
I felt sick to my stomach just looking at him.
"Have fun down here, Val. Don't let the rats bite."
Rats? I hated rats.
He ascended the stairs, and I was alone.
I hoped Haelie would find me soon.
