8"The Battle Of The Artists"



Kevin's POV

"Good job, Magma!" I petted my Magby. "You did a great job out there! Best battle you've had so far" I smiled again, returning my fire-type to its pokeball. Silky the Servine, Kitty the Liepard, Magma the Magby, Aura the Riolu and Seashore the Ducklett. I built a team so quickly I didn't even realize it. "YO DORK!" A happy brunette greeted me. Her light cyan cap had a star design instead of its usual WiFi symbol-ish design , her light cyan jacket was open and she was wearing a baby blue shirt. Her pants were the same as they usually are and her sneakers were changed with black high tops. Her purple backpack was replaced with a magenta one and her hair was in a side ponytail. "Hey Bud-Bud! Since when did you have a fashion sense?"

Lida's POV

"Hey Bud-Bud! Since when did you have a fashion sense?" Kev asked. "HEY! Anyways, I got bored and cold so I changed my outfit a bit." "Well, it looks great on you!" "Thanks! Have you got a badge yet?" I smiled. "Just did! I assume you're getting one yourself?" "As soon as I drop a water bucket on your head, yes." I smirked. "Huh? I'll get going no-" He was cut by a bucket filled with ice cold water falling on his head. How did this happen? He stepped on an invisible thread that flipped the bucket and aimed it right for his head. "LIDA! WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR?" He shivered. "To destroy your newly gained confidence." "IT'S FREAKING WINTER!" "Not my fault. Just go to the PMC and get some warm clothes. Gosh."

5 minutes later...

I walked in the gym and destroyed the first few gym trainers. The puzzle was focused around cocoons and was kinda hard. Soon enough I was sucked into one of the cocoons and warped to a big white room. The floor was covered with paint with every color of the rainbow."I heard about your work in Sonata Cafe. Good job. The name's Burgh. My Bug-type Pokemon have been scurrying with excitement about getting to battle you. I'd say my Bug-type Pokemon are pretty great! C'mon, let me brag a little! Dwebble's round little eyes are cute! It's resilient and reliable! My ace is Leavanny! It's really the best! I think it's so sweet how it makes clothes for other Pokémon out of leaves. Of course, I'm really proud of all of my Pokemon! Well now... Let's get right to it!" "You're on!"

He sent out a Swadloon and I sent out Barkster. "Fire Fang" "Razor Leaf"

My partner's mouth was starting to cover up with flames and my buddy bit the opposing pokemon and KO'd it. He sent in a Dwebble. "Shell Smash" "Flame Wheel"

Dwebble broke its shell to boost its stats. Barkster covered himself in a fire ball and ran around inside it like a hamster wheel. He started moving it as fast as he could and tackled the defensively-low crab-like creature. He sent Out his Leavanny. "Slash" "Fire Fang"

The tall feminine bug pokemon slashed its claws towards my dog pokemon partner. A one hit KO... I sent out Stinger. "Bug bite" "Slash"

Stinger was able to dodge Leavanny's attack with a simple jump. She dealt 1\2 of the opposing pokemon's HP with a strong bug bite. "Struggle Bug" "Bug Bite"

Leavanny attacked Stinger with a super effective struggle bug doing a bunch of damage to my partner. I covered my eyes with my hands. No, no, no, no. I slowly opened my eyes. 1 HP. Stinger survived on 1 HP. She bug bit Leavanny with lowered stats. This isn't gonna KO... I thought over and over again.

To my surprise, it actually did... I squealed. Burgh congratulated me or something and handed me the insect badge, handing me a TM quickly after. TM 76 Struggle Bug. What? I RESEARCH THESE THINGS! "Thanks for the great battle Mr. Burgh!" I smiled. "No problem! You're an amazing trainer and I was glad to battle you! I'd like you to check out my paintings in Studio Castelia." He requested. "Sure, I like art." I replied.

I walked out of the building. My X Transceiver rang. I had a message from Rock boy. He asked me to meet him at the route 4 gate. OK, dummy.

I decided to walk to Studio Castelia first. I looked at the paintings curiously. I was mostly impressed by the paintings "White Flame" and "Black Lightning Bolt". After checking out the good and meh art, I healed my buds and started walking towards were Rock dork wanted to meet up.
