My Journey Through Unova

Final Chapter:"VS Champion Nate"

Narrator's POV

Lida started her battles throughout the Pokemon league stadium. She knew they were going to be tough, but she wasn't sure about how tough

Her first opponent, an Elite 4 member named Shauntal, was an expert of ghost type pokemon. Her pokemon consisted of Cofagrigus, a pure ghost type, Drifblim, a ghost and flying type, a Golurk, a ground and ghost type, and a Chandelure, an elegant ghost and fire type pokemon. She managed to become a tough opponent, since Lida was a trainer with no dark or ghost type pokemon. It wasn't too difficult though. The 11 year old trainer's Samurott, Gliscor and Arcanine were destroying every single one of their opponents during that battle.

 The next opponent, an Elite 4 member named Grimsley, used only dark type pokemon. His team was included a Liepard, a pure dark type, a Scrafty, a dark and fighting type, a Krookodile, a powerful ground and dark type, and a Bisharp, a dark and steel type pokemon. The particular battle was a lot easier. Her Leavanny and Samurott easily took out everything except the Bisharp, which was defeated by her Arcanine. 

Opponent number three was Caitlin, an Elite 4 member that used psychic type pokemon. She had the team of Musharna, a pure psychic type, Sigilyph, a psychic and flying type, Reuniclus, a cool pure psychic type, and Gothitelle, another pure psychic type pokemon. The pokemon Lida used for this battle were her Leavanny, Gliscor and Magnezone.

The last Elite 4 member, Marshal, was a user of fighting type pokemon. His team consisted of only pure fighting type pokemon. He had a Throh, a Sawk, a Mienshao and a Conkeldurr. Lida easily defeated him with her Gliscor and Reuniclus.

After all of those battles, Lida was going to battle the Unova Pokemon League's pride and joy; the Unova region's Champion. She walked to the glowing statue in the middle of the room. She was dropped down a level. 

Whilst she walked up the staircase, deep thoughts were rushing through her mind. Each day of her journey, each big step of her adventure. 

Number 1, choosing her first pokemon. The whole starter madness was the first step.

Number 2, catching Stinger and encountering Team Plasma for the first time. 

Number 3, her first gym battle. 

Number 4, the time she got flooded in. 

Number 5, a little event she likes to call a Virbank reunion. 

Number 6, her battle versus Roxie. 

Number 7, the Creepy Alleyway and Ice cream event. 

Number 8, Her artist battle with Burgh. 

Number 9, battling Ryan and capturing Razor. 

Number 10, exploring the city of joy.

Number 11, her encounter with Holly, Maiden and Jellybean. 

Number 12, her first loss and her visit to the cold storage.

Number 13, that one day where here and there, evolution was everywhere.

Number 14, that one time when she was reaching sky heights.

Number 15, when she heard about the legends and her friend had some old memories come back to him.

Number 16, the day were it was a battle between her Samurott and some dragons.

Number 17, the beginning of her trip to Icirrus, when Ryan and Kevin caught Reshiram and Kyurem.

Number 18, her fateful encounter with a legendary pokemon, when Lida and Zekrom became partners.

Number 19, her experience going through victory road.

And now, number 20. Possibly the final chapter of her story. Her battle against the champion. She did not know the champion's name, but a little brat of an author did. It was going to be a battle of Lida VS Champion Nate.

The brunette walked through the entrance. On the other side stood a boy about 10 years older than her. He had messy dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, a red cap, a blue short sleeved jacket, white shorts, I guess, black and blue leggings and black and red sneakers.

"Hey there! You must be Lida! A friend of a friend of mine told me about you. I'm Nate, or Nathan, the champion of the Unova region. I've traveled far and wide and became the champ here, but I haven't faced much difficulty when it comes to challengers. So now, I ask you to give me a battle worth of remembering. I've heard great things about you so don't let me down." He told the brunette.

"Hello to you too. You've heard of me, but I'm Lida Author of Aspertia city. I'm here to put a close to my journey, by taking the place I've wanted in this region ever since I was a little kid. I want to battle and I'm certain that I won't disappoint you." The brunette replied. "Let's battle then. Go, Ampharos!" "Alright then! Go, Razor!"

The electric type and the ground/flying type entered the field. "Dragon pulse" "Earthquake" The trainers yelled. A purple beam was fired and the earth roared and shook. Both pokemon were close to going down. "Finish it off with fire punch/rock slide" They yelled simultaneously.

Both pokemon had fainted. "You're up Lucario!" "Go, Barkster" Both pokemon appeared on the battlefield. Multiple attacks were fired, but Lucario emerged victorious. "Go, Jellybean" Her Reuniclus entered the battlefield. "Psychic" "Iron head"

Before the fighting/steel type could attack, it was surrounded by blue energy and knocked out. "Go Carracosta!" Nathan exclaimed. "Rock slide" "Thunder" The trainers commanded. The powerful rock move fainted the psychic type pokemon. "Go, Shock-bot"

The electric and steel type easily defeated the ancient turtle pokemon. "Go, Espeon! Use shadow ball" "Use flash cannon" The two trainers commanded again. The speedy psychic type fainted the already weakened Magnezone. "Go, Stinger" Lida exclaimed. "Use X-scissor" "Use psychic"

The frail psychic type was quickly taken out. "Go, Lilligant" Nate exclaimed. His grass type appeared. "Hyper beam" "X-scissor" The two yelled. Both attacks were extremely powerful and both grass types fainted. "Here's my last pokemon and this one's a real fighter! It's my first pokemon ever! Go, Emboar!" He exclaimed. "If you're using your first pokemon, I'll use mine. Although I don't actually have a choice... Go, Blade!"

A Samurott and an Emboar entered the battlefield. "Hydro pump" "Brick break" The two trainers exclaimed. Both attacks almost fainted each pokemon. "Brick break, again!" "Finish it off with aqua jet!"

Smoke covered the room. When it cleared, Blade was breathing heavily and Emboar had fainted. "We did it!" Lida exclaimed, hugging her partner pokemon. "Come with me, Champion Lida. Here you and your pokemon will be remembered for many years to come"

A few days later...

The whole Unova region was celebrating the birth of a new champion. Right now, young Lida was about to give a speech. Her childhood best friends were carefully watching.

"Everybody, I'm glad to be the Unova region's new pokemon league champion. I promise that I, Lida Author, will protect you all from harm's way. As you may know, I'm great friends with the legendary pokemon Zekrom and have stopped the evil Team Plasma once and for all. I managed to pull it off, but I didn't do it alone. I'm not gonna protect Unova alone either. Can Ryan Stone and Kevin White come to the stage please?"

The two boys were stunned, but smiled warmly. "These trainers will help me protect our lovely home. They are the greatest friends I could ever ask for and I hope you all learn to appreciate them as much as I do. Meet Ryan Stone and Kevin White, the best friends a girl could ask for."

"Unova region, me and my partners, Emboar and Reshiram, will protect all of you"

"Kyurem, Serperior and I will stop any bad guy from hurting this region."

The three trainers protected the region from any harm's way and no bad guy ruined the Unova region ever again.
