Lida's POV
After evolution-less training, I'm ready to get my 6th badge!
Before you tell me that I've been on a large emotional roller coaster since the Driftveil Gym and I should take a break and blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, about that.... No. You think I'm gonna let the versus duo of dorks get ahead of me?
Sure, they're great trainers, I already knew that, but, I can't start falling behind Ryan and Kevin of all people!
We all know that I can kick their butts any day of the week! I've been studying Unova for ages now! I know every single pokemon that they can pull up their sleeves as a 'secret weapon'.
Anyways, I'm literally about to enter the gym. "Good job, Magma!"
I turned to the entrance way. I saw the nerdy roast master himself, Kevin, along with a...a... A MAGMORTAR?!?! HOLY COW! WHEN THE HELL DID MAGMA EVOLVE?!?
"Oh, hey Lida! You're gonna challenge this gym yourself, eh?" He smiled, placing a small piece of blue metal with a golden outer ring in his badge case. A gym badge. "Yup! Good job on Magma evolving Kev!"
"Thanks Buddy-" He got interrupted by a loud X-Transceiver beep. We both stared at our own. They both beeped!
I picked up the call. It was Bianca. She called Rock-head and Bowtieboy too. "Hey guys!" She smiled. "Hey Bianca!" We all replied, but not in unison. "Have you got the Jet Badge yet?" She asked us. Ryan and Kevin said they did, but I shook my head in the opposite manner.
"OK, but Lida, could you get your next badge in the next two hours? Professor Juniper wants you three to visit Lacunosa Town and the fastest way is by a plane that lives in two hours." She explained. "Alright, I can do that."
I waved goodbye to all off them and bid farewell to Kevin, who ran off. I entered the gym.
Strong breezes flew by frequently. They were strong enough to push people forward and backward. The gym guide literally flew into my face!
I started going through the puzzle, awkwardly looking at my X-Transceiver to see the time. Bu the time I reached Skyla, the gym leader, I roughly had one hour left. I guess I ought to try.
I challenged her to a battle. She used the adorable, psychic and flying type bat pokemon, Swoobat. I sent out Shock-Bot. "Charge Beam" "Assurance"
Oh. I forgot my Magnezone is gonna be the bane of her existence. Anyways, the electrical beam almost one-shoted and it did a slither of damage. I knew Shock-Bot was made for this gym battle! "Charge beam" "Um... Heart stamp!"
The attack did nothing and my attack fainted the pokemon and gave the electric/steel type a boost on its special attack. Next up was Skarmory, a steel and flying type. Nothing to problematic. "Charge Beam" "Whirlwind" Say what now?!?!?
Barkster. Perfect. "Flamethrower" "Air Cutter"
Okay, that one's out. Lastly, a water and flying type swan pokemon, Swanna. "Bubble Beam" "Crunch"
Not a chance. The orange and cream dog pokemon fainted. I sent in Jellybean, as a little surprise. "Psyshock" "Bubble beam"
Not much damage on either side. Secret Weapon time! "Feather Dance" "Thunder"
A powerful jolt of electricity won me the battle. Easy. I got the Jet Badge and the TM for the flying type attack acrobatics.
I checked the time. I had started the battle at 1:30 and I think I can make it. 2:25? I can make it if I hurry up... "I gotta go! Thanks for the battle!" I dashed off, returning all my partners in their pokeballs.
How do I go faster? Barkster should do the trick! I sent her out and she carried me to the Airport in half the time. "Here!"

Short. I know. Cute. I know. The next chapter will be plot heavy, so enjoy your last moment of peace.
