Grace's POV
Wes and I run hand in hand along the sidewalk heading towards my house, not even caring that we're soaking wet and that people are giving us weird looks. I don't even know why we're running right now when we could just be walking like normal people, but I don't even care because I get to run like a maniac with Wes.
"You run slow," Wes says as he runs in front of me.
"Wanna bet?" I say back.
"You're on," he replies.
"Bring it," I say.
"First person to your house wins," he replies.
"Jokes on you. You don't even know where my house is," I laugh as I turn down the road and sprint. I look back and laugh when Wes runs the other direction, then realizing I turned. I look forward again a little too late because I accidentally hit someone.
"Sorry!" I say and Wes runs passed me laughing his butt off.
"Children," the woman scowls. I turn around and laugh when I watch as Wes thinks about which street to turn down. I quickly turn down the right street before he notices and I silently laugh.
"Hey!" Wes shouts as he follows me down the street. "You can't get away from me for long. I'll catch you," he says while running in my direction. The funny thing about this is I ran down the wrong street just to throw him off. I take a quick shortcut through and alley and eventually reach the right road. I look back and I don't see him. Looks like I'm by myself for now. I turn around and continue running as fast as I can until I hear someone running behind me. I look out of the corner of my eye and see someone following me, and they're going to outrun me. What if it's that guy again? I shouldn't have ran through that alley. He must have seen me. I start running for my life, but I'm not fast enough. I feel two strong arms wrap around my waist and prevent me from running any more. I hold my breath and close my eyes as I wait for the pain to happen. I feel hot breath on the side of my neck and my face.
"I told you I'd catch you," the familiar voice said.
"WES!" I scream as I slap his chest. "You scared me to death!" I say as I rap my arms around his neck. "I thought you were some rapist!"
"Nah it's just me. Besides it wouldn't count as rape if you liked it," he teased with a giant smile on his face.
"Perv," I laugh as I slap his chest again. He laughs and after a couple seconds of just staring at each other I make a run for it.
"Oh you're not getting away from me again," Wes says as he chases after me.
"We'll see about that," I reply, sprinting down the street. I make a quick turn and run down another street. It takes Wes a few seconds to realize which direction I went before I trip over a trash can. "Who puts a fricken trash can in the middle of a sidewalk!!" I yell while laughing. I look over at Wesley and notice him laying on the ground, laughing so hard I can't believe he's still breathing. If he's laughing that hard, then that gives me more time to get home before him. I stand up, ignoring my injured knee, and run down the street. Well actually I sort of do some limp thing along the sidewalk, which probably doesn't look very attractive, but whatever. I move a little faster and I hear someone running up to me again.
"You'll never get me!" I shout as I pick up a little speed.
"Wouldn't be so sure about that babe," Wes replies as I feel his strong arms lift me off the ground. I blush.
Wait what?
"Did you just call me babe?" I ask.
"Yeah...," Wes replies as he starts to blush too. He sets me down. I smirk as he starts to blush a lot and I rap my arms around his neck.
"Don't worry. I think it's cute," I whisper in his ear and I feel him smirk. I bite my lip which causes him to tense up. Suddenly he pushes me up against a building.
"Don't be such a tease," he says, inches away from my face. I feel his hand slip behind my back and move down to the bottom of my back. "Two can play at that game," he says as his lips brush against mine.
Oh you're on.
I drag a finger along his toned chest and bite my lip, now since I know that's a turn on for him. I feel him tense up as I continue to touch his abs. I start to lean in until I feel him lean in too. I stop right before our lips touch. "You'll have to catch me for it," I say just above a whisper as I slip out of his arms and sprint down the street.
"You little tease," he says with a big smile on his face as he chases me down the street.
We arrive right in front of the driveway of my house. Wesley doesn't even hesitate to get what he was chasing me for. He grabs me and crashes his lips onto mine. I kiss him back for a little until I push him away.
"We can finish this later," I say. "You have to meet my brothers first"
Wes puts on his best pouty face. "You're making me wait?"
"Unless you want my brother to kill you for making out with his little sister on his driveway, then yes," I reply. I grab his arm and lead him my door. I unlock it and am welcomed by music playing from the tv in the family room. I really hope they like Wes.
