Chapter Thirty

Lexi's POV

~One week later~
(It's now the end of August)

I week has past since the funeral and we were all moving back home. Keda and Kya were moving back to camp to finish their training, Willow was moving in with her mom, Amelia was moving in with me, and Miuna and Manaka were heading back to their own dimension.

I closed my suitcase and set it on the bed and sat down as I looked around the empty room and sighed.

~knock, knock, knock~

"Come in." I said.

Amelia opened the door and walked in.

A-"Aunt Lexi can I ask you a question?" She asked shyly.

"Of course." I said as I patted the seat next to me on the bed.

She sat her suitcase on the floor and sat down.

A-"What's gonna happen?" She asked.

"Well you'll have your mom's old room, and start going to school here, and in the summer we go to Les cadeaux non désirés, and mom or in your case grandma will probably try and teach you Hawaiian if you don't already know it." I said with a little laugh.

A-"No...I mean what's going to happen to me..." She said looking down.

A-"My mother died before I was born, and now I'm not even living in my own timeline, my memories are starting to change or fade because they won't happen anymore. The futures changing Aunt Lexi."

She was now looking me in the eyes.

"The only thing that matter is that you're here now. It was a life for a life, you're not going anywhere, I promise. As for the future, don't worry about it. Things will work out, for better or for worse."

She nodded and gave me a hug.

We parted and Sapphire opened the door.

S-"Lexi your mom's here." She said.

I nodded and we grabbed our bags, walking into the living room.

Everyone was still there and I gave them all a big hug. Miuna and Manaka left after we said goodbye and step thro a portal.

Keda and Kya each gave me a spell spell book to practice during the school year. (Keda's for me and Kya's for Amelia)

Ke-"Stay strong." Keda whispered in my ear as we hugged.

I nodded and turned to Sapphire.

S-"See you next summer Lex." She said.

"Next summer? Saph what are you talking about? I only live a few minutes away." I said.

S-"I know, but...I'm moving."

M-"What? Your dad didn't say anything about moving." Morgen said.

S-"That's because only I'm moving. I'm going to live with my Uncle Jay. He'll teach me the elements and I'll help them raise their new born twins."

No one knew what to say.

"Saph, I know that's not the real reason you're leaving." I said as I pulled her aside.

S-"I need to figure out what I'm doing with my life and I don't know what to do about me and Peter, I think I just need to be single for a while. Besides I can't stay here with out remembering what I did." She said looking down.

I put my hands on her shoulder.

"Sapphire look at me. Ava's death was not your fault, no one in this room blames you. It was her choice."

S-"If I just listened to Keda this wouldn't have happened."

"That's not true."

S-"If I didn't ask you to teach me, I wouldn't have burned you and Ava wouldn't have used up her magic healing you."

"If none of that happened it would just be delayed. She would have used up her magic sooner or later. Besides we only became close because you comforted me. We barely spoke to each other before that, and now you're my best friend. Just know that I never blamed you for Ava's death, never, not even for a second."

S-"Thanks Lexi."

"You're welcome."

"I'll miss you Saph." I said as I hugged her.

S-"I'll miss you too Lex."

We pulled apart and heard a car horn go off outside.

"That's our ride." I said turning to all of them.

"See you all next summer."

They all said their goodbyes again and Amelia and I walked out the door.

~Time Skip~

The car ride was quite with some tears rolling down my face, but I kept hearing part of Ava's last words play through my head.

A-”I'm sorry Lexi, it's too late. But I promise you'll see me again soon.”

"Soon..."
