"I've forgiven her for it, though," the Doctor continued, "Or at least... That's what I told her. It gets hard sometimes, though. Sometimes, I want to just strangle her... Sometimes I want to take her to a sun and just toss her into it. Take a weapon of some kind and kill her, watch her regenerate, point out every flaw with her newest form and then kill her again."
"So... Why haven't you?" Rose questioned, "It's not like she doesn't deserve it."
"I know," he sighed, "But if I killed her, that'd make me no better than she is. Also, I know what it feels like, waiting for what feels like eternity for someone to forgive you... Even if there's no one left to do so. As much as she deserves to die, Rose... I couldn't kill her. Not ever."
"That's what I always loved about you, Doctor," Rose gave him a sad smile, "You were always a better man. Where most people would fail, you stood strong."
