"Doctor!" I called through the corridors of the TARDIS, "What did you do with the manual?"
"Why do you want the manual?" he called back, looking up just as I as descending down the stairs to where the controls were.
"I wanted to study up on my TARDIS flying," I explained, "Haven't been in class since nearly nine hundred years ago... You just start to forget things when you don't use them, you know?"
"Yeah... Um... There's a slight problem," the Doctor rubbed the back of his neck, "You see... I... Uh... Threw the manual into a super nova."
"You're kidding me," I mumbled, "Isn't that exactly what they told you NOT to do? Let me guess, you disagreed with it?"
"Oh, shut up and get over here," the Doctor commanded, waving me over to the controls, "I'll teach you how to fly her."
"Correction," I stated, walking over and observing the controls from his right, "You'll remind me how to fly her."
"Alright then," the Doctor challenged, pointing at the blue buttons, "What do those do?"
"Those?" I bit my lip, trying to remember, "I think we called them the blue borings, I can't remember why, though."
"Neither can I," the Doctor admitted, and then quickly moved on to a device that looked like a giant jack stuck to the control panel, "What does that thing do?"
"Stuff," I shrugged, "You aren't actually supposed to touch it if you're going into a planet that has hostile inhabitants or no electricity. Nobody ever listened to that, though. We always liked the funny noises it made."
"You mean... This funny noise?" the Doctor clarified, flicking it and causing it to make a pop sound, followed by a whizz.
"Yeah," I giggled, "That's the one."
"Well... I think that's all the important stuff," he stated.
"Your chameleon circuit's broken, isn't it?" I demanded, eyeing the small sparking black box next to the blue borings.
"Possibly," he muttered.
"You realise it's probably really easy to fix," I stated, "All you'll have to do is try hotwiring the fragment links and superseding the bin-"
"I know how to fix it," he stopped me, "I just happen to be fond of the big blue box... It's a lot easier to find in a barren wasteland full of boulders."
"Right," I chuckled, "Whatever you say."
