                                      Chapter four

                               Remembering my past

When I woke up I was warm.

Too warm for my liking, underneath the heavy comforter, so I threw it off me and rolled over to lay on my back in my bed. The pillow was firm underneath my head and it smelled like home. I smiled to myself as I opened my eyes. My smile instantly faded when I did not recognize the dark oak celing above me.

Not my bed.

Not my home.

I sat up, abruptly on my guard, then I strongly regretted sitting up so fast because I got a huge head rush and white sparkles danced in my eyes. I held my head in my hands while I closed my eyes and waited for it to pass. When it finally did I opened my eyes again to evaluate where I was exactly.

I pushed the heavy comforter the rest of the way off of me and crawled out of the enormous bed that was placed in the center of a very tall and wide wall, in the back of the huge, empty, and very strange room. For some reason I wasn't scared though.

'Don't panic. Just think ... think! Shit! Where the hell am I? What happened? ummmmm...,' I thought to myself while walking around the room trying to gather who it belonged to and where I was.

I headed over to the chest high dresser on the far left wall, where a few picture frames were placed on the top. On the way over I noticed a door cracked open half way, and got distracted from going to the dresser. Inside was a vast bathroom and I got the feeling that this bedroom didn't belong to a girl by what was inside.

I looked over the big claw-foot bathtub in the right corner, it was sitting in front a large wall that was made entirely of window that went to the floor and showed me a beautiful dense forest just a few feet away. There was a huge shower with frosted glass doors across from it, and from what I could see there were more then three shower heads,  and it looked so amazingly relaxing.

I tore my eyes from the shower and decided to look around. I looked in the cupboards and found normal first aid needs in one,  and a whole bunch of towels in another. I looked in all of the drawers and in one I found a purple unopened toothbrush and some other unopened packages of Q-tips and other miscellaneous things. I grabbed the toothbrush and went over to the elaborate and expensive looking sink with a mirror that opened into a medicine cabinet above.

I was NOT going to skip out on oral hygiene just because I didn't know where I was. Ew.

'This person must be rich.' I thought while opening the toothbrush and walking to the mirror in hopes of toothpaste. I wondered where I was, where ever I was it was like I had been here before or something, it felt like home here.

I was surprised to see myself in the mirror, I didn't look good. My hair was a mess, my eyes looked like I hadn't slept for a week, and I had a bandage on my neck. Confused, I slowly peeled back the tape from the bandage, and gasped.

I had only pulled the bandage off halfway, but it was enough to see the wounds. I had two gashes in the side of my neck, almost like holes. I was disgusting looking, and just looking at it it started to throb. I hastily put the bandage back over the wound.

Shaking my head and opening the mirror cabinet, I was glad to see my favorite kind of toothpaste inside, along with floss, rinse, cologne, a pill bottle and...another toothbrush, it was a dark purple color and it was wet as if it had been used not fifteen minutes ago. Hmmm...
