Midnight Brawls

"You okay there?" I opened my eyes to see a blue eye and red eye. Sollux. "I'm alright!" I turned a shade of pink then squirmed my way out of his firm arms. This was maybe the first time I saw him this close before. His breathe smelled kind of like monster drinks. His eyes had small bags under them. He looked so cute. He held his hand out and helped me up without letting go."You sure you're alright? I can take you to the Hospital if you need me to--"

"She said she was fine already. Didn't you hear her?" Dave was over Sollux and I. He snickered then pulled down his shades abit. "Not going to reply?"Sollux smirked then looked at Dave while his body faced me. "I'm pretty sure the lady can speak for herself." Oh god. His lisp was so great to hear. Dave rolled his eyes and walked over to me. "Let's get outta here',he whispered to me after,"Feferi is in his car outside. I'll show you in a second if you need me too." I bite my lip and held back the tears. Why would I get my hopes up like that? Of course Dave is right, Sollux probably came to get a movie for him and Feferi to see. That moment, Feferi walked through the door and linked arms with Sollux.

"Uhh. Right. Dave would you mind taking me home?" Dave nodded and opened the door waiting for me. Sollux shrugged his shoulders then left to the movie section with Feferi on his arm. I walked out with a fake smile and Dave patted my back. Sometimes I feel him,Jade, and John were the only ones who got me. "Want me to get you something?" He said as we walked to his car. I remained quiet cause I knew I would feel bad if I said anything. Dave said he forgot his wallet then went back in the store in a quick sprint. Jade called my phone.

"Crystal! I heard what happened! Everyone is talking about it. You okay? Is Dave alright?"

"What do you mean is Dave alright?"

"I heard he punched Sollux in the face! Feferi told me through a text that they are fighting right now! I just guessed, you're with Dave is all.. Hello? Crystal you there?"

I dropped the phone and stared at the store for about a couple seconds. How could he? I knew he didn't like Sollux for reasons ,but so much that he'd get into a fight? I opened the door and ran out the car with jade still mumbling on the phone. As soon as I grabbed the door, I saw Dave's figure up against the window. I pulled it open and Dave fell down with Sollux on top of him throwing punches, left and right. Feferi was yelling at them both to stop while tears ran down her eyes. Her makeup was smearing. She kept threatening to break up with Sollux if he didn't stop. I looked back at the boys and they were still fighting and Sollux seemed to be into the fight too much to actually hear anyone ,but Dave's cheeks as it was being hit right after another swing.

Dave finally pushed Sollux off and spit out a bit of blood. His shades were on the ground and were cracked. I picked them up then looked back at the guys in horror. I balled up my fist and broke the shades. I'm tired of this fighting and hate between them! I got between both of them before they started punching each other again and slapped them both on the cheek with my back hand.

"BOTH OF YOU STOP RIGHT THIS INSTANT!" Dave held his cheek and stared at the ground while Sollux spit blood on the ground. Feferi smiled at me then ran to Sollux, who had just fallen from exhaustion. She was kissing his cheek and pulling out bandages from her purse to heal him right up. I turned to Dave and put his arm over my shoulder. He was dizzy and moving side to side abit and was having trouble walking, even with me supporting him. Poor kid.

"You idiot. Why did you do that?", I helped him get it the back seat of the car. He flinched a bit from the pain ,but after a couple pushes down, he was able to lay down finally. When I was going to pull away from him to get to the driver seat's door, he pulled me back down and did let go. He used the tip of his shoe to close the door shortly after. Dave tried to sit up ,but I shook my head at him and he stopped moving. I sat up and placed his head on my lap.

"I could have taken him."

"I know you could've, Dave."

"That ass has been hurting you since you first saw him. He needed to learn a lesson."

"Maybe ,but I should have been the one who fought him if that's true." I sighed a bit.

"Dave, you're my best friend. You know that,right?"

"I know that ,but I'm still glad I beat the crap out of your little pretty boy. Asshole deserves it."

"What did he do to you that caused you to hate him so much?"

I looked down at him ,but he was already resting. He's an idiot sometimes.. I can't help ,but wonder though.. What did Sollux do that caused Dave to hate him so much?
