Background info

The Lunch bell rang. Crystal had fallen asleep on Dave, who also fell asleep. She woke up before him and rubbed her eyes, then smiled. She was content with the idea of being Dave’s fake girlfriend. This however also made her feel bad. She felt, somewhere in her heart, that Dave liked someone. He would doze off sometimes. His eyes looking off into the far distance just thinking. She kind of envied it. This whole time she felt like she was the only girl in Dave’s life who mattered. Could she have been wrong? She thought for a moment about what Sollux said earlier.

“After what he did to Jade..” Were Dave and Jade a thing? She knew that she wasn’t here before Dave started his Sophomore year could they have been a thing back in their first year? She knew that she had to find out from someone. If she told Sollux, it could ruin her plan with Dave. No way could she ask Jade. Jade actually likes them being together now and of course wouldn’t tell her if there was something. Dave, without a doubt, would deny anything happened and say that Sollux was doing this on purpose. She went on for about 5 minutes before she came up with a list of people who she could ask. Karkat, was the first.

Karkat was in the gym, mumbling under his breathe and cussing out everyone who was better than him at Soccer. Crystal knew he was pretty good at sports, but he sucks horribly at Soccer, football, and really any sport that could cause you to knock into someone. Crystal came up to him while he was sitting down drinking water on the bench.

“The fuck do you want?”, the tired and pale boy replied, quite angrily. “Well, I need you to tell me something,” she paused and took a deep breath letting Karkat know she was serious. “Did Dave and Jade ever-”, she was caught off by karkat nodding. He stood up and put a hand on her shoulder. “Took you long enough to notice that those two have a thing going on.”
