CHAPTER 14

Alexandra POV:

A month has passed and it's a few weeks to Christmas. "Shane I'm going to the magazine, I forgot my laptop, I'm so scatter brained lately and I'm feeling so weird. I think I ate something bad, I'm gonna stop by the pharmacy, I won't be long".

Shane answers "ok babe, don't forget we have that early Christmas party dinner with the crew, be safe angel".

"Ok my love" I say and I kiss him goodbye.

I take my range rover, and I'm on my way to the office, the road is icy and I try to break but my breaks don't work, oh my God no, I crash and my car rolls.

Shane's POV:

It's been nearly two hours, I call and call, I just get Ally's voicemail. I don't know why but I'm panicking, it's just not like her. Finally my phone rings "Ally?" I answer.

I hear a man's voice "no this is Dr Jake Riley, is this Shane Romano?"

My heart nearly stops and I find my voice "yes I'm her fiancé" that's all I can manage.

The doctor speaks "Miss Draven has been in an accident and you are listed as her emergency contact, she is at Hope Memorial I suggest you come down here".

"I'm on my way" I answer in panic. Fuck no, please this can't be happening. "Hunter! I scream "meet me at Hope Memorial, Ally she.."

"Go" is all he says.

I can't get there fast enough, I run into the hospital the nurse points me to emergency, I feel like I'm about to collapse she has to be ok. "Dr Riley?" I shout, he comes toward me.

"Shane Romano?" he asks and I nod.

"Well is she ok?" I ask full of panic.

Doctor Riley explains "she has a sprained wrist and she hit her head pretty bad but she is fine and stable. Miss Draven is having an MRI now, but she is unconscious, she has a concussion and 2 bruised ribs, it's touch and go right now, the next twenty four  to forty eight hours are critical for a head injury".

I stand and all that comes out is "oh my God no".

"Please wait here, I'm going up to see her now and then she will be placed in a private room". Doctor Riley says.

I call Nicki and her brother Brad, they rush to the hospital. Brad moved here a few months ago with his girlfriend. I break down and I'm crying, I can't hold it, Nicki is hugging me. "What if she dies I can't lose her I say to Nicki she continues to hold me.

Hunter calls me aside to tell me something important "Shane, it wasn't an accident, her breaks tampered with".

I start losing it and scream "I am going to kill the bastard that done this to her!"

Hunter calms me down "just focus on Ally right now, I will deal with it till you are at your full senses".

The doctor comes to me, "Mr Romano, I need to speak with you in private". I walk with a heavy heart "she is resting comfortably right now, but I'm sorry about your baby".

I don't think I heard him right. "What! She was pregnant?" I scream in disbelief.

Doctor Riley puts a hand on my shoulder and says "yes about four weeks, I doubt she knew".

I counter him "she was going to the pharmacy, she said her stomach was upset, she was on the pill I don't understand".

Doctor Riley thinks and asks "did she have a cold or something, antibiotics, it cancels out the pill Sir".
