The daylight poured in through the window onto his body. I hadn't given a second glance to him. But now, with the warm sunlight pouring over him he looked like an angel. His frilly blonde locks were ruffled and distorted. He looked peaceful laying there. I checked his arm. The blue serum had destroyed the virus in his blood. I had given him the only thing that could save him and that could've saved me in the future. I mentally slapped myself. I had no idea who this boy was and I wasted the serum on him. My dad would've been proud. He was always-

"Hmm..ugh.."

I turned around to the mystery boy who was now awake. He locked onto his chest, in obvious pain. The strange boy was wide eyed with fear as he took a look at his surroundings and stopped when he noticed me.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked with a funny accent.

His brows furrowed and his lips pursed. He clutched to his wound. I guess it's a shock when you're revived instead of dead.

"My name is Nora. And you are?"

A mixture of shock and confusion was mashed onto his face. He was silent for a moment before grabbing my knife off of the desk next to him. He pointed it at me and lurched forward before falling into my arms and coughing ferociously. I helped him back onto the bed and snatched the knife from his hand.

"You know it's rude to want to murder your savior." I gasped out. My heart was racing. Maybe he was still infected.

He grunted in pain and leaned his head against the wall in frustration.

"Newt. That's my name." He said through gritted teeth.

"I'm sure you have a bunch of questions for me." I said. "But I have a question for you. Why were you in the city?"

"That's none of your business miss." He muttered.

"Considering I saved your ungrateful ass I think it is my business." I wasn't taking any of his shit.
He was quiet for a moment. I think he was trying to gather his thoughts. I felt sympathy for him, he looked utterly confused and disoriented. But nothing the less, he should be grateful.

"How am I alive?" He asked, gazing at me with his dark eyes.

"Well, I found you. At first I thought you were surely dead but then you looked at me. You were infected and I thought you were going to get up and kill me but you blacked out. I dragged you to a medical van and injected you with this," I held out my hand with the empty syringe," Then I stitched you up and brought you back here."

"Holy shit." Was all he could say.
