Chapter 9

The show was amazing. Shawn killed it as always. Brynn and I said our goodbyes then I headed to Pickering where Shawn lived. It took 3 hours because of traffic but I finally arrived.

Walking up to the door I was terrified. Shawn and Aaliyah were already there and their parents were asleep since the concert had gone late into the night. I turned the handle and opened it to be tackled by Aaliyah. Just like when I left.

Aaliyah: Finally! I'm so glad you're here even if it's just for a few hours.
Jackie: I'm glad to see you again too! And this time not through a phone.

Aaliyah ran back into the kitchen while calling back to me telling me there was cake. Shawn stepped out of the kitchen and started towards me.

Shawn: How was the show? Be honest with me.
Jackie: It was amazing. You killed it Shawn!

His huge arms engulfed me in a hug.

Shawn: *whisper* Are you sure?

I looked up at him. Then I kissed him.

Shawn: God I've missed you.
Jackie: I've been waiting all night to do that.

With that his kissed me again. And again. And again. It was like the past two years hadn't happened and we were back to those silly high school kids who were in love.

Shawn: *whisper* Stay the night please.
Jackie: Okay.
Aaliyah: Are you guys coming for the cake? I mean, I could eat it by myself...
Jackie: Coming!

I borrowed some of Aaliyah's clothes since I hadn't planned on staying the night.

Shawn: You should come to the show tomorrow night too. I mean, if you can of course. You make it easier to be up on that stage.
Jackie: I have three days of nothingness before I head off to Karaine.
Shawn: Why are you going to Karaine?

He asked this as we were climbing into his bed. I lied down facing him. I hadn't told him about becoming a princess yet.

Jackie: Maven is the new king. Dillon, Gage, Jeremy and I are royalty. I'm going for my coronation.
Shawn: What?! You never told me this! That's- Wow- You're a princess!

He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead.

Shawn: You will make the best princess. I swear you were born for this J.
Jackie: Do you want to come?
Shawn: Hell yes!
Jackie: Okay, okay. Haha. You know, I still love you.
Shawn: Would it be crazy if I said I still love you too?
Jackie: Completely mad.

I fell asleep on his chest listening to his breaths even out. I woke up the next morning feeling like this was a dream. I was completely happy for the first time after Nathan's death.
