"This place is amazing." Nikki said in awe as she surveyed the room. I had Dimitri get us an AIRBNB place for the next two weeks during our stay. I didn't speak Russian and he clearly did, so in the airport I handed him my phone and the Court credit card.

"It reminds me of the Winter Palace." Christian added as he brought in Lissa's luggage along with his own. "Who gets which bedroom?"

"Well there are three beds so it'll be a couple per bed." Dimitri answered as he entered the room.

We were all currently standing in the living room of the apartment. There was a modern television and black and white theme with an add-on kitchen. To the right of the entrance was a hallway that led to the three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

"Um, me and Marc aren't a couple." Nikki interrupted.

"You wish though." Lissa said under her breath but Nikki heard and shot her a glare.

"Guys, just deal with it and go to your rooms and unpack." I interrupted. "I want everyone back out here in twenty." A few mumbles followed but they went to their rooms without a fight.

"Hey, hotshot." Dimitri taunted. "I'm not unpacking for you."

"Very funny." I smiled and followed Dimitri into our room. It was modern like the rest of the house and our bags were on the bed.

"So, do you know what Lissa has planned for when she meets the Strigoi controller in this area?" Dimitri asked as he started to unpack my bag and take out my clothes. I just sat down on the bed and let him do it since he was the neat one. Even though he said he wouldn't unpack for me, he still would.

"All on her. I just have to go there and keep a watch on Lissa and put you guys in position." I mumbled rolling onto my stomach. Dimitri slapped my behind. "Hey!" I yelled into the pillow while he chuckled.

"You know you better get out there to plan things out for tomorrow." He advised.

"It can wait a few minutes."

"Can it really? I think it's rather important considering the attack at the hotel." Dimitri scolded snapping into his mentor tone.

"I think you're forgetting, mister, that I rank higher than you." I sat up and ran my hands through my hair.

"Rose."

"Fine, fine. You sure do know how to make people feel bad." I rolled my eyes and headed out the door.

"You love it." He called out to my back.

"Ahuh." I said as I headed across the hall to Lissa and Christian's room. Careful to knock, I let them know that I wanted them out in the living room and did the same for Nikki and Marc.

"Can we just go to bed already? This jet lag is killing me even if I'm supposed to be awake in America right now." Nikki complained as she led the pack into the living room.

"Ok, here's what I want. Nikki and Marc, I want you to scout this building from the bottom floors up without being suspicious and look around outside as well. Christian and Dimitri I want you to go through the apartment and check every nook and nanny for any possible threats. I'm done joking." I took a breath, "Now go while I speak with Liss."

The four hurried off to their spots and I looked in the kitchen. There had to be some type of food here, they couldn't leave us to starve.

"Hey Liss, let's talk over there in the kitchen." I offered and she nodded.

"So what did you want to talk about tomorrow?" Lissa asked as she sat down at the breakfast bar.

"What did you have planned to speak to the Council and Controller? I don't want to go into this blind."
