"Get in the car, Rose." Christian tries to beg with me as he leaned out the car window. He was driving extremely slow to match the pace of me walking towards court. I didn't even know how he found me since I was going towards the back entrance.

"No, I'm only five minutes away from Court and you couldn't get me earlier." I snapped and stopped walking. I didn't know why I was refusing to get in, my legs were tired and I just wanted to relax.

Christian looked at me with pleading eyes.

"Fine." I started to walk towards him but froze. "But, I'm driving." I declared with a sudden flood of energy rushing through me. Christian's body locked up before he sighed.

"It's the only way you'll get in the car, isn't it?" He asked.

"You bet it is." I laughed and gestured to for him to get out. Begrudgingly, Christian adjusted something in the car before climbing out and making a dramatic gesture for me to get in. I stifled a laugh as I passed him to get into the SUV. Christian hobbled around the front of the car and to the passenger side sliding in next to me.

"So where is Lissa? I thought she surely would've been with you." I asked him as I shifted the car out of park and into drive. I pressed down on the gas, more than ready to get back to court and get adjusted to the newest situation being thrown at me.

"She's at court." Christian said briefly not bothering to explain himself.

"Doing what?" I demanded. Christian was silent and I looked over at him before swearing under my breath. "You've got to be kidding me."

I managed to hold back my anger as we pulled up to the gates of Court and rolled down the window to the Guards that were under my control.

"Excuse me," The young guard said stepping forward before blushing as he realized it was his boss. "Go right ahead, ma'am." He stepped back. Typically they didn't even stop me if they recognized me in the car but I guess my arrival wasn't expected.

Without any words said, I rolled my window back up before I unleash my anger on Christian. It was quite unfortunate really, it wasn't his fault this was happening but he was an accomplice.

"So she's been CAMPAIGNING the war then?" I screeched, Christian remained dead silent and staring ahead. "What's next? If I walk down the hall to my apartment will I see recruiting posters? Is she the new Uncle Sam?"

"Rose-"

"Oh no! That's it! You want ME to be Rosie the Riveter!"

"No-"

"What was the one thing I didn't want?"

"I don't know-?"

"WAR!" I yell, my hands slapping the steering wheel and I press on the gas as I feel my anger soar. The car's speed nearly hit one hundred and Christian started to break out in a cold sweat at my recklessness. Feeling defeated at last, I slam on the breaks.

"Get out."

"Rose, this is my car..."

"I'll get it back to you."

"Do you expect me to walk from here?" Christian asks in disbelief.

"If I can haul from Harrisburg to here, then the answer is yes. You can walk from here." I exaggerated it further by unlocking the doors.

Christian shook his head, not fully understanding my actions, but got out of the car nonetheless. He was only a block away from the main campus and I had a different place in mind than there.

I wasn't ready to face society yet.

And no, I was not being a coward.

I was being wise.
