Chapter One:

A l i s o n ' s P O V

Luke Hemmings has been one of my best friends for as long as I can remember. We went to primary school together and then on to secondary school until our final year when my father got a new job in London resulting in our move.

Luke and I managed to stay in touch through various forms of technology and visits and whatnot. I loved how he'd show me different pics and video calls of Sydney and how much things had changed.

Four months ago, I moved back to Sydney when I turned eighteen and had met my current boyfriend Matt who I've been with for just under a year now. Luke had since formed the band 5 seconds of summer and I couldn't have been more proud of him. They're an amazing band I have to admit. They invited Matt and I to come to one of their shows in Sydney and come backstage. I was happy to and so was Matt.

I met the boys in the band loads of times because I knew them from school. I didn't really talk to them in school but when I did they were genuinely lovely guys and they were pretty attractive but I was happy with Matt. He was great too and the first guy I truly loved.

We waited patiently backstage for the boys to finish, It had been an amazing show and It made me like the band ever more. I couldn't believe how big they'd gotten.

"Alison, you guys came?" Luke smiled in shock, running over to me and Matt. He shook hands with Matt and hugged me. I hugged him back. He was still as adorable as ever.

"Of course we came, we wouldn't miss it. You guys were so good. I loved Heartache on the big screen and She looks so perfect." I laughed as a mouth-stuffed Ashton in the back said 'thanks' through a jam doughnut. Boys.

I laughed as did the rest of the band except Matt. He was kind of lost a bit and his mind seemed to be somewhere else. I was confused but decided now was not the time to confront him.

"So you guys, I still can't believe how good you were. Calum your voice has changed so much since last time haha." I said as the band laughed.

"I should hope so, puberty done me well didn't it? Good-looking wise too." He winked and everyone laughed. God he was so funny.

"Uh- I'm just going to the toilet babe." Matt said and I nodded.

Yes! This gave me and Luke time to catch up. We sat down on a red couch which was so comfy and tied in well with the red walls of the room. It was so cosy in here.

"So how've you been?" Luke smiled at me running a hand through his hair.

"I've been great, yeah. So good to be back in Sydney." I smiled just as Matt's phone buzzed behind me on a small table. I don't look at his texts, because I respect his privacy and I think I don't need to. Matt seems like a trustworthy person, or so I thought.

"Oh." My smiled faded as I turned to look at the sender of the text and message. Since It was an iphone, it had Tia plastered across the screen with the message 'Where the hell are you babe? I miss you so much. Last weekend was so fun. Hurry up<3"

Luke noticed my smile fade as he grabbed my arm. I turned back around with Matt's phone in my hand just looking at the ground. I didn't feel like crying which was weird since I'm usually extremely weak and vulnerable.

"Al, what's wrong?" Luke questioned in a worried tone with a gleam in his eyes.

I said nothing and handed the phone to Luke, his eyes horrified when he pressed the top button again. He was filling with anger as Matt walked back into the room. Luke had always been the protective sort over me, and he knew how much I liked Matt. Scratch that. Loved Matt.
Luke was like a big brother to me. Matt saw his phone in Luke's hand and grabbed it off him from behind with panic written all over his face. I was holding it in so much.
