Chapter Five:

I woke up in my bed around at around 11pm. I felt like a little kid magically waking up in a different part of he house. My dad would always carry me to my bed when I fell asleep downstairs. I guessed one of the guys brought me here.

I sneezed and coughed a bit before a peeking Michael appeared through the door. He sat at the side of my bed as he placed a hand on my forehead. I was warm, but my feet and hands were cold. I most likely had a flu or fever from my little sit down in the rain.

"How are you feeling?" Michael asked me.

"Crap." I answered and he laughed.

"Well then next time don't stay sitting out in the rain." He smiled pouring some cold and fever medicine into a spoon and handing me it.

"What? Wait; how did you know about that?" I asked a bit surprised.

"I seen you when I came down to get a snack." He said.

"Oh." I said taking some of the cherry-flavoured syrup. "Are you guys still working on some songs?" I questioned.

"Yeah, do you want to join us or do you want to stay here?" He asked smiling.

"No no I'll come." I said smiling back as we took a seat in the warm where the rest of the band were.

I sat beside Luke who had a hand wrapped round my waist as he handed me a gibson.

"What?" I questioned him confused already forming a G chord with my left hand.

"Come on, you're a great musician and singer, almost as good as me. You can help us." He winked.

It was only at three in the morning did we decide to go asleep. Everyone got into their beds but Calum and Ashton saw a spider in their room so they both flipped and decided to sleep with us. Ashton slept with Luke, Calum slept with Michael leaving me on my own. I was happy enough and it was rather peaceful until a loud and bickering Calum and Michael entered my room and lay beside me, Michael on my left and Calum on my right.

"What are you guys do-" I was cut off.

"We're sleeping, now go asleep." Calum yawned already getting comfortable.

I turned to Michael and he shrugged his shoulders so I just went with it.

Michael and I stayed talking for a while, and we talked about school and how life has all changed.

"Remember there was that place we used to go on in camps where the tents had an open roof and you could see the night sky and all the stars gleaming?" Michael asked.

"Oh yeah, that place was so beautiful. It was near the lake right?" I whispered and he nodded.

"Yeah that was such an epic place." Michael smiled as we stared at the ceiling. I nodded.

"Why don't we go there?" He asked.

"What like right now?" I asked him back.

"Yeah."

I smiled as we softly got out of the bed and tried not to wake Calum up. We tip-toed out the front door giggling as we tried not to wake anyone up. I grabbed a few blankets and we made our way to the valley where we were when we were ten or so.

We popped the door of the trunk open and lay watching the night sky. It was bright out because it was like 4 or 5am but it was still beautiful.

"Wow." Michael breathed and I smiled at him as he watched the sky twinkle.

"Yeah." I looked up too.

We both turned to look at each other and giggled at each other's amazement.

His eyes locked on mine, our bodies suddenly leaning in on their own accord. Then his lips captured mine, hungry and passionate. He pulled me on top of him as I rolled, lightly pushing my body against his. We broke apart to catch out breaths as his eyes twinkled in the dim light, before our lips met again.

We lay there in silence drifting to sleep. We woke up to the sun breaking over the horizon, the clouds glowing dark shades of orange and red. Michael smiled at me, giving me a light kiss. I did feel a little guilty though, Matt and I had only just broke up two days ago. But I liked Michael; he was different than Matt in a lot of ways.

"We should get back before the guys notice were gone." He murmured and I nodded.

"Yeah; you're right." I smiled.

The car ride back was nice. We didn't need loud music to fill the silence, we stayed quiet enjoying each other's presence. Thankfully, we arrived back and nobody was awake to notice that we were gone.

I still freaked a bit of how we were going to get back into bed with Calum there, no doubt he'd wake up.

"Maybe you should go back and if he wakes up, tell him you were at the bathroom and I went back to my own room." Michael whispered before we parted ways.

I was able to slip back into bed without waking Calum or anyone else in the house. I fell back asleep straight away, all cosy in my bed.
