29 | reality

(just before you read, idk if it counts but just in case, there is a st season 2 spoiler so when you see the 3 *'s, that's when it starts OK i'll shut up now toodles)

SOPHIA AND I enter our room and I immediately fling my bag and jump in my bed, sighing loudly. It's only 7 p.m. and I am exhausted. Today has been a tiring day - all that stress before the interview has really worn me out.

"Long day?" Sophia chuckles, plopping beside me.

"Mhm," I mumble, Sophia brushes my hair with her fingers, immediately soothing me. I almost fell asleep until she smacks my head. "Hey, what was that for?!" I groan, rubbing my head.

"Did you really think I was going to let you sleep? We gotta watch a movie!"

"Fine," I roll over to my back side. "What kind of movie?"

Sophia walks over to the fridge, grabbing two pints of Ben & Jerry's. "I dunno, you choose."

"The Goonies?"

"Sure, why not." she shrugs, placing the two pints on the bed. We change into our pyjamas and get in the bed. I scroll through Netflix and find the movie and hit play. We open up our Ben & Jerry's and let the rush of nostalgia hit us.

"I want a friendship like Chunk and Sloth!" I sob, wiping my tears.

"It's kinda weird watching Sean Astin as a kid since the last time I saw him was on Stranger Things." Sophia mumbles through her ice cream.

"None of the them wanted to kill Sloth because he saved them! Even if he was ugly," I weep, and ending up laughing. "Why am I crying over this?"

"Because you're an emotional mess." Sophia answers.

I glare at her and she giggles. The credits roll and she takes both of our containers and throw them out. I get comfortable and she slips into bed beside me once she came back. I turn off the lights but we both grab our phones and text our bizarre friends.
