"HEY, MICHELLE." a groggy voice greets me.

"Good morning, Wyatt." I joke, popping a chip in my mouth.

"Oh right, it's morning."

"Mhm,"

"So, why did you want to facetime?"

I shrug, "Dunno, just wanted to talk to you."

He chuckles, and flops on his bed, his mop of curls bouncing in the process.

"I just realized how curly your hair is." I stare through the screen.

"Really? All of my names so far dealt with my hair."

I shake my head, "No, I mean it's really curly. I like it, it's adorable."

I accidentally said the last part out loud, and I stuff my face with more chips to hide my embarrassment. Wyatt turns crimson and pulls his blanket over him.

"T-thanks." He mumbles.

Silence falls, but it isn't awkward. He just watches me eat my chips in the least creepiest way, and I get up to throw it out.

I come back and I lie down, careful to not wake Sophia who is already fast asleep.

Wyatt and I are still not talking, but rather staring at each other. It wasn't weird or anything. Maybe it's because we're so tired that nothing needed to be said.

"I really want to meet you." I blurt out.

He smiles, "I do too."

"I know we've only known each other for what, a few weeks? Months? Whatever. My point is, you're a really great friend. You've dealt with my bullshit and somehow managed to not block me. I'm not going to say I feel like I've known you for years instead of weeks because that is so cheesy." I chuckle.

I continue, "All of our conversations are filled with questionable things, but I love it because only the two of us can understand it. You also introduced me to your other wonderful friends and they're great too. I hope I can meet Jeremy and Chosen as well because they seem super cool. I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you. Thanks for being there for being a listener, comforter, and overall a great friend."

The whole time, I was looking down at my hands, unable to look at him directly in the eye. But when I finally had the courage to, I look up to find a sleeping Wyatt. My heart melts at the sight.

"Good night, Wyatt."

I end it and get comfy in bed. I stare up at the ceiling and think maybe, just maybe,

I might be falling for Wyatt Jess Oleff.
