Brooks Smith was excited― overly so, according to Lucie, who was standing far enough away so she could pretend that she wasn't associated with the blonde currently bouncing on the balls of her feet. Her plan, of course, didn't work, since the few people that noticed them recognized them; because of Lucie's music, Brooks' modelling and dancing, and their newly combined acting careers.

It didn't help that, nearby, a poster advertising Sleepless' release date was quite obviously displaying their faces for all to see.

"Oh, the gate's opening," Lucie commented from where she stood, her voice carrying over to Brooks through the constant chatter that seemed to accompany any airport at this time in the afternoon― especially where they were concerned, with the throng of fans that tended to linger here for no other reason than the possibility of a photo opportunity. But, security was quick to shut that down, creating a barrier between the two girls and their fans before Brooks had even finished taking photos with them.

Brooks grinned at Lucie's words, pushing herself up onto her tiptoes to see above the family blocking her view of the gate.

It was soon after that Tom finally made his appearance, taking up the tail end of the plane's passengers alongside Harrison, who yawned through his laughter as they trudged through the doors.

The boys stopped walking as someone approached them, tentatively asking for a picture with the two of them, and that only made Brooks start bouncing again, even as Lucie came to stand closer to her this time. The crowd around them quickly thinned out; everyone here clearly wanted to get home, or to their hotels, as quickly as possible― after all, who enjoyed spending their time at the airport?

When the fan eventually wandered off, Tom lifted his head and ― with prompted by Harrison's elbow in his gut ― met Brooks' gaze from just a few feet away. And those few feet still felt like the thousands of miles that had separated them up until this very moment. That's when she took off running, ignoring the camera flashes of those still-lingering fans over the shoulders of security guards.

Then, she was in Tom's arms― his arms around her waist, hers around his neck, and somehow she wasn't even on the ground anymore, because her legs were wrapped firmly around his middle. Like a koala clinging to a tree.

"I told you she missed me, Haz," Tom chuckled, and tightened his grip on Brooks instead of loosening it like she expected him to do.

"And here I thought I was always her favourite," the other boy tutted, "It's nice to see you too, Brooklynn."

"Leave her be, idiot," said Lucie, who had finally joined the trio, having moved at a much slower (see: normal) pace than Brooks. "She's been such a pain without him― she's used to him blindly following her into the unknown at five in the morning just to take pictures of a river."

"I have to admit, it was a really pretty river," Tom said, as Brooks finally untangled herself from him and planted her feet on the ground. "It's nice to see you, too, Lucie."

"Oh, sorry, did I forget to say 'welcome back'? Or, were you looking for an 'I missed you'? Because I think Brooks covered that, don't you?" She laughed, but nevertheless hugged Tom and Harrison quickly while Brooks continued to grin.

"I'm still offended that Brooks hasn't even greeted me, to be honest," Harrison huffed, raising a brow at the blonde, who rolled her eyes and approached him, too.

"You're so needy, Ostrich," she sighed, pushing herself up onto her tiptoes to hug him― which, might she add, was the first time they'd ever hugged. And the last, if she had any say in it.

"Okay!" Lucie clapped. "Who's ready for some pre-Halloween fun?!"

"I want to go home already," Harrison groaned, to which Tom patted him on the back before they all followed Lucie towards baggage claim.
