Magnus' POV

Fuck. Fuck. Fucking fuck. That's literally all I could think about.

Just after my father left, I threw my limp body on my purple couch, putting my hands on both sides of my head. I thought about my father's request and laughed sarcastically, trying to stop the tears that tainted my cheeks with a feeling of pain.

God. I couldn't kill Alec. That would kill ME. And I couldn't kill his family since that would kill him and take my heart at the same time. There was no solution to this. Should I follow my father, who I have been loyal to for centuries or should I follow, Alec, a young Shadowhunter whom I met only a few months ago?

I needed advice and I knew it. I also knew the only person who could get me good advice. Tessa Gray, the only warlock I know who, like me, was stupid enough to fall in love. And two boys at a time, two parabatai. Yep, she would have advice for me. Unfortunately, she was at the Spiral Labyrinth. I couldn't just leave Alec like this, now that we have gotten back together. (Okay maybe it's just secretly, but it's the intention that counts.) All I need to do is find an excuse and leave, but take him on a date before. Yep, that will do it.

I hope...

Alec's POV

"Hey, wanna go demon hunting this afternoon?" Jace asked me as he got out of the shower, only a towel covering him.

"Sure, but go put some clothes on before," I replied, a small smile on my face.

"Really? I thought I was going to kill them with the sight of my glorious body and stone-hard abs," he said, his usual smirk stretched across his face.

"Go try that on Clary, not on demons," I joked, but he seemed to have considered the idea for a moment.

"I might not want to try that; I don't want to kill my girlfriend with the incredible sight that is my body," he replied.

"I wouldn't try that on me, asshat," said Clary as she walked down the hallway. She winked at Jace and turned to me, "Hey Alec, ready for demon-hunting?"

"I am," I said to Clary, "but that boyfriend of yours seems to enjoy a bit too much the sight of his muscles."

"Jace, get dressed. Alec, go get Izzy," Clary ordered.

"Yes ma'am!" Jace and I both screamed before running off to do the tasks Clary ordered. You do not want to be beside a pissed off Clary, especially when she is twirling knives in her hand.

We gathered in front of the Institute's gates, two teams of parabatai ready to fight. (A/N: Clary and Isabelle had the parabatai ceremony a few months before the beginning of the story.)

We wandered around, looking for demons to kill. Jace and I wanted to go to Pandemonium, but the girls refused, claiming that they weren't wearing a dress. We then went to Taki's, since the streets around it were usually filled with demons.

We approached Prior St. and Izzy's necklace began to glow. Slowly, Jace and Clary took out their seraph blades, murmuring their names, Gabriel and Ithuriel. Izzy's whip snaked down her arm and I placed an arrow on my crossbow.

Suddenly, about fifty demons leaped around us, surrounding us. We knew there were a lot of them, maybe even too many.

But we were Shadowhunters, we would fight until the end, give all we have to protect the world from demons. So we fought. Like we always do. Always.

Clary was crushing a demon with the back of her seraph blade while she was cutting a demons throat with the front of it. She leaped from demon to demon, killing them as she moved towards Jace.

Jace was also killing demons with his seraph blade, but his technique was better than Clary's, due to years of practice. We was twirling around, killing demons with every swing of sword he took. Jace and Clary were fighting back to back and they made a weird but beautiful duo. The feisty red head with the smirky blond, killing demons and holding hands once in a while for strength.

Izzy was fighting off a dozen of demons, giving them killers blows with her sword. As always, I was in the back, usually in height, so I could shoot with my arrows demons who snuck out in the back of my partners. I couldn't take my eyes off Isabelle though; her black hair was flying in the wind, like a thousand ravens in flight. Her whip was like an extension of her arm, and she flew it around like she was born with it in her hands. She looked like one of the heroines of the mundane movies Magnus made me watch with him... Wait what?

Is Magnus really occupying my thoughts right now, while I'm fighting? But I never had time to finish my thought before I felt an excruciating pain in my neck, which lead me to feel as if fire was coursing through my veins. I let out an inhuman scream from the unbearable suffering before my day turned into night, before the light was replaced by an incessant black tornado.

_________~*~*~*~*~__________

Dun dun dun !!! So the last sentence pretty much meant that Alec fainted, but I was feeling poetic :P
