Magnus' POV
I woke up with Alec fast asleep in my arms. I smiled at the scene and kissed the top of his head, relieved that he was okay after the accident with the demons. But I still had to do something with my father's demand. I really hope Tessa will have something to help me.
For a moment, I had hoped that Alec would've died yesterday. I wouldn't have had to do anything to kill him; it wouldn't have been my fault. But then I realized that living without Alec is like living in a world without trees: there is absolutely no source of oxygen for me. This is where Tessa had to help.
I groggily got out of bed and checked my fire-message mail box. Because yes, that really existed. And I saw that I had a reply.
