Marinette's P.O.V

Half the day went by, finally and it was time for lunch. Most students went home for lunch so I thought of asking Danny if he wanted to come back to the bakery since he enjoyed it so much. Then I saw Adrian and my thoughts were gone. He was looking so dreamy as always. I wish I could just tell him how I felt but every time I tried talking to him, I would ramble and mess up my words. I saw a hand wave in front of my face.

"If you keep standing there with a dopey look on your face, he won't ever ask you out girl." Alya laughed.

" I can't help it. I get butterflies every time I see him and I never know what to say." Alya shook her head and laughed some more.

"Looks like he's talking to the new kid and Nino. Why don't we all hang out after school. We could show the new guy around the city and you could spend some time with Adrian." She winked.

My face lit up. "That would be perfect!"

"Lets go ask then." She grabbed my wrist and started pulling me to where they were standing.

I froze up "W...Wait! Alya!"

"Too late to back out now. Oh boys!" she called to them.

Danny looked over to Alya "Whats up Alya? Oh hey Marinette."

"Yeah we were just going to go show the new guy around." Adrian said

That's when reality came crashing back to me. I was supposed to show him around. "D...do you mind if we join you guys..." I asked stuttering a bit. I was shy and awkward around Adrian.

Danny looked at her. "Why are you even asking? I mean you said you were going to show me around first. If anything Adrian should be asking you if it's alright if he joins us."

"Yeah, would you mind if we came along too Marinette? I would like to get to know Danny a little more."

"Yeah this dude is alright, dudette" Nino said

My face turned a bit red. I could feel it. "Oh ya um sure."

"The school has a lot of cool activities you can take up. Adrian here does fencing, piano and Spanish. Nino is into music and of course our girl here like working on her fashion."

"And you have your journalism of course, I just don't have a thing though. I rarely have time to do extra activities. I'm usually busy helping my parents test stuff out."

"Oh! You must have seen my Ladyblog! I think she's so cool! Well anyways this is the gym over here...." Alya trailed on showing the place off. We got to know Danny a bit better. He wasn't from France. His parents were weird and eccentric. He had an older sister. His two best friends were back home and he missed them. He seemed like a really good guy.
