Chapter 16

Marinette's P.O.V

While we waited for the box ghost to come back I filled them in on my whole plan for the moderations of the ghost equipment.

"Hopefully this will work." I said.

"I'm sure it will. Though you'd better have some kind of food waiting for you, because we are really going to need all of us to pull this off." Danny said.

"I stocked up while we were recharging." I had plenty of cookies waiting for Tikki.

"Well I'm going to go check the school grounds and see if there anyone still here."

"I'm going too. Its best to have each others backs. Especially in this apocalyptic like time." I said to Chat.

"You just want to be alone with Cat boy over there so you guys can kiss. Love birds." Ember said.

"Not interested. Chat is my partner and partners have each others backs. It's also our job to protect this place so we need to make sure that if anyone else is here, that they are safe." I got a glimpse of Chat's disappointed face after I said that.

"Well while you guys go and do that, me and ghost boy here will have a little fun."

"We will?"

"Lets go Chat." I walked out of the classroom door.

"Alright." he followed me out.

We took a look around the school but it was completely deserted.

"I just hope everyone is safe." I said thinking of my classmates. Mainly Adrien and Alya.

"Even if they aren't we will save them. Don't worry about it bugaboo."

Apart from the horrible nickname he had for me, he always knew how to cheer me up.

"Your right. This is our biggest challenge yet. I just hope we can win."

"Hey, where is the girl who never gives up? I mean it's still a little bit early to be giving up. As long as we are breathing there is no point in giving up. We will continue to fight until we have saved the people of Paris, even if for some reason I went to my civilian form, I would still fight. It's my home, and I'm not going to let it be taken over by some butterfly fanatic."

That reminded me of the time we had to fight Chloe when she was Anti-bug. She tied Chat up and tried to drop him from the hotel roof. My transformation had worn off after using my lucky charm. I had to do something, or he would have gotten killed or at least severely injured. So even as Marinette I took action and saved him.

"Lets prove to Hawkmoth why we deserve the ladybug and cat miraculous and not him, shall we?" There was nothing Chat and I couldn't do together. There was a reason Master Fu chose us and no one else.
